Further Note-taking explanation 🔽 Mind Mapping: - Mind mapping starts with a main topic in the center and then branches out with related ideas. It’s useful for visual learners, connecting concepts, and brainstorming. Boxing Method: - Information is grouped into boxes or sections, each dedicated to a specific topic. It’s useful for those who like to keep their notes organized. Cornell Notes: - The Cornell method is split into three sections: a narrow left column for keywords and questions, a wider column on the right for detailed notes, and a bottom section for a summary. #student #highschool #studytips #school #studynotes

Do yourself a favour… Hi, my name is Aria 👋 I used to be obsessed with studying. I was studying nearly every waking hour, yet my grades weren’t getting any better 🫤 As it turns out, I was wasting most of my time doing something that was only giving me the ‘illusion of learning,’ when it really wasn’t helping me at all. Once I stopped doing this, I was able to cut my studying time in half whilst also getting better results. I graduated Year 12 in the top 2% of the country, whilst also working a job, tutoring, going to the gym, having a relationship, seeing friends and family, and having time to rest. So, what was wasting so much time? Writing notes. Or, more specifically, rewriting them. Every day after school, I sat down for 2-3 hours and copied notes from my textbook into my notebook. It made me feel ‘productive’ since I was writing heaps of words (and making it look pretty), but did it actually help me learn? Nope. So what did I do instead? 1. ACTIVELY LISTENED IN CLASS I sat in my class and simply listened, thought about the content, and asked questions. By all means, if there was a specific piece of information I needed to remember, I would write it down, but otherwise, class was for listening. 2. MAKING FLASHCARDS Instead of rewriting my notes, I created flashcards directly from the textbook material. This allowed me to start active recall asap after leaning the content. I have since started using an AI flashcard maker to make this process even more time-efficient. 3. MINDMAPPING When learning a topic for the first time, I now grab a blank sheet of paper and, rather than taking neat, linear notes, I create a mind map of the topic. This gives a visual representation of the relationships between pieces of information, and helps me remember them better. Applying these tips helped me to halve my studying time, and ultimately gave me more time to spend doing other things that I love. I had created a balance that didn’t require me to sacrifice my grades. Follow to come along this journey with me in becoming a more balanced student. #studygram #studymotivation #study #studynotes #studytips #podcast #studentlife #student #students #studytime

Read caption ⬇️🧠⬇️ (Save this reel for later use) Studying when you’re tired after school can be challenging, but there are several unique strategies you can try to make your study sessions more effective and manageable: * Power Nap: Take a short power nap (10-20 minutes) to refresh your mind and boost your energy. Be cautious not to oversleep, as longer naps can leave you feeling groggy. * Change of Scenery: Study in a different location, such as a park, coffee shop, or a cozy corner in your house. A change of environment can help break the monotony and renew your focus. * The Pomodoro Technique: Use the Pomodoro Technique to study in short, focused bursts. Work for 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. After four cycles, take a longer break. This method can help you stay engaged and maintain productivity. * Mind Mapping: Instead of traditional note-taking, try creating mind maps. This visual method can make studying more engaging and help you better organize and understand the material. * Active Learning: Engage with the material actively. Teach it to an imaginary audience, make up songs or rhymes, or create a story related to the subject matter. This can make studying more fun and memorable. * Use Sensory Techniques: Incorporate sensory elements into your study routine. For example, use scented candles, essential oils, or background music that helps you concentrate. Associating a particular scent or sound with studying can trigger your brain to focus. 🏷️: #memorization #teachyourself #mnemonics #productivity #studentsofinstagram #studymethods #studyspot #motivational #studyaesthetic #notetaking #feyman #studymotivations #newstudygram #studygram #studynotes #studytips #studywithme #academia
