As your looking to lead you must be in the position to do so. Respect comes from your ability to do what you say and say what you do. As athletes we want to learn from those that have done it before at some capacity while allowing the coach to see things from an outside perspective. As a coach for elite combat sports athletes for now over a decade I’ve a always found it easier to get “buy in” when you can actually show the movements in the gym that correlate to the sport accurately. Now with that being said I’m NOT saying coaches must have played or in this case fight professionally. I will say that each coach/trainer should at the very least experience the training process that the athletes go through to get a clear understanding of the demands that’s placed upon them! @mindpumpadam @mindpumpjustin @mindpumpdoug we will have to get together again soon!👊🏼🔥 #mindpump #coaching #practicewhatyoupreach #darustrong
