I, for example, ended up quite a way from my Ambient Sunday tradition. And itโs still a great deal.

It feels soothing to reconnect for a moment with sound and space in all its strange variations..to in some transient way, coalesce knowledge and explorations of sound as one. I feel a sense of dread even opening this app anymore, I feel that online spaces are becoming increasingly futile, littered with pessimism that lacks self reflection, though I hope this chaos finds you well in this unusual meeting place. PIItโs been a little quiet on my side, but Iโve been fully focused on building my live setup. I wanted a way of working that feels more direct, more physical, closer to performing, and more like actually playing an instrument.
Itโs all still new and evolving, but I want to share the process as it develops, and this recording is part of that ๐
Tech talk for those interested:
The @weareelektron Analog Rytm runs the drums and overall groove. The @weareelektron Model:Cycles handles texture, atmosphere, and extra percussion, sequenced by the @torsoelectronics T-1. The @arturia_official MicroFreak plays the main synth line, also sequenced by the T-1, and runs through the @zoomsoundlab MS-70CDR+ for effects. The @rolandglobal SPD-SX Pro (drumpad) sends MIDI to the Rytm for the clap hits. Everything was recorded live into @ableton .
