after quitting modelling at 18, I’m now applying to agencies again! I was scouted at 14 yrs old at my local mall. I used to wonder when the baby fat in my face would go away so I can start booking more jobs — my agent back then told me to eat less salt. I believed them. I didn’t have the most pleasant photoshoots when they involved an older male photographer, nor was I comfortable with my body yet, but still wore the swimsuits they gave me as the “wardrobe” for that day. I don’t think people should start modelling until at least their 20’s. There was some parts I loved about it but in the bigger picture, I worked for free for 4 years and got some insecurities out of it. However…. NOW I feel so good in my body and will be way more selective with the agency I sign with, and the type of photoshoots I do. So if you’re considering modelling, maybe just wait a bit… it’s a more tough industry than people think. Thought I’d share :) #modelling #model #nyc #modelsearch #nycmodel #confidence
