SPGonna nerd out for a sec - I’m so pleased to share my first project breakdown using @mohoanimation - It truly is everything I hoped it would be for 2D character animation.

If you use AE for character work, lemme share a few facts. Moho’s greatest strength is how quickly you can rig and begin animating in a non-destructive way. The ability to edit the rig while animating is huge, and makes for a -much- less stressful experience. It’s just easy to fix stuff. Plus it runs SO smooth. I do not have a particularly fast machine, but I didn’t lose a single step while pushing keyframes around.

This particular rig was shockingly easy to set up. It’s literally only the second rig I’ve ever made in this software. I designed the illustration in Moho and just sort of worked out the whole animation from there. This is an animation sample for my ongoing project ‘CYCLE’ (for any long time listeners)

I’ve only begun learning this software, like I said this is only my second actual rig. There’s a lot under the hood I have yet to learn so I’m not really advanced enough for tutorials (yet) but I know I’ve got a lot of character animation ahead of me using it.
