Posture in Irish dance isn’t just upper back strength.⁣ ⁣ It’s control of your ribcage over your pelvis while your legs move.⁣ ⁣ In this drill:⁣ ⁣ • One leg stays in a bridge to engage the glutes⁣ • The core keeps the ribs from flaring⁣ • The opposite arm and leg move without the lower back arching⁣ ⁣ That’s the same coordination you need in dancing.⁣ ⁣ Your legs are constantly lifting and switching, but your torso has to stay stacked and steady.⁣ ⁣ If you can’t control the stack slowly,⁣ you won’t control it when you’re dancing fast. 💪⁣ ⁣ #irishdancer #dancer #dancefitness
