DACooking can be easy episode 5: Easy Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks🧀
Ingredients
• 1 lb block mozzarella
• 3 eggs
• All-purpose flour
• Breadcrumbs (any kind)
Nashville Hot Sauce
• 1 tsp cayenne
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 2 tsp brown sugar
Steps:
1️⃣ Cut the Cheese
Cut the mozzarella into sticks or squares, thickness is totally preference. Thinner sticks = more crunch, thicker sticks = more cheese pull. I use half an inch.
2️⃣ Set Up Breading
One bowl with flour, one with beaten eggs, one with breadcrumbs.
3️⃣ Bread the Cheese (Important)
Go in this order:
Flour → Egg → Breadcrumbs → Egg → Breadcrumbs
This double coat helps seal everything in so the cheese doesn’t ooze out.
4️⃣ Freeze
Pop them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
5️⃣ Fry
Fry at 350°F until golden, about 1–2 minutes.
6️⃣ Make the Sauce
Mix all the spices together, then carefully whisk in some hot frying oil until smooth.
7️⃣ Sauce & Eat
Brush the sauce on while they’re hot and eat immediately.

- mozzarella block cut into coins or sticks
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Egg or maida cornflour slurry
First cut about 1/2 an inch thick slices of the cheese.
Now season the crushed up panko breadcrumbs with salt garlic powder and cayenne powder. Add some water and salt for the eggs
For an egg replacement, mix water, maida and cornflour.
Now coat the mozzarella sticks with egg / maida slurry, then breadcrumbs and repeat this process again. A total of two times.
Then freeze for at least 30 mins. Then spray lightly with some oil
Now airfry at 180C for 6-8 mins, flipping halfway through, then 1-2 mins at 200C for an even crispier outer crust.
🌶️ To make it like Chilis, you can either coat them with a hot honey sauce or Nashville sauce and serve with mayo or have as is

-Repeat until all 8 cheese strings are coated, then freeze them for 45 mins
-Air fry at 400F for 6-8 mins, then enjoy 😍
