Chocolate Cornflake Crisps 🤤 Ingredients: 3 cups cornflakes 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 18-24 oz quality dark chocolate, chopped (or chips) ** About 2 XL bars or roughly 2 bags ** Milk chocolate will be too sweet for this recipe! Flake salt (for finishing) Directions: Line a half baking sheet with parchment paper. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring until smooth and bubbling for about one minute. Remove from heat and gently fold in the cornflakes, making sure they’re fully coated in the mixture. Preheat oven to 350 F. Flatten cornflakes on the entire lined baking sheet and bake at 350 F for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool on counter or in fridge for 30 minutes. Pour melted chocolate evenly over the top and use a spatula to evenly coat. Refrigerate for ten minutes or until firm. Store in an airtight container at room temp or in the fridge for extra crunch.

RECIPE BELOW!👇🏼 🌰 Caramel & Nut Cornflake Clusters 🤎✨ Crispy, caramel-coated cornflakes loaded with nuts — dangerously addictive and perfect for gifting (if you can resist eating them all first). Save this! 🤎✨🌰 200 g cornflakes +
25 g macadamia, halved
25 g pecans, large pieces
30 g cashews, halved
40 g almonds, roughly chopped
20 g pistachios **OR use 140-160g of any nuts of your choice! Caramel: 110 g white sugar
20 g brown sugar
50 g unsalted butter, cold & cubed
120 ml whipping cream 35%, warmed
¾ tsp fine sea salt
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp baking soda Flaky sea salt Toasted white sesame Toast nuts low & slow until golden and fragrant (300-330F/150–165°C, 10–15 min depending on nut).
Toast cornflakes at 300F/150°C for 5–6 min (no browning). In a large, heavy bottomed saucepan (sugar should sit mostly in one layer), melt sugars to amber, NO stirring, only swirl the pan to melt the sugar. Add butter, stir well with a spatula until incorporated, then slowly drizzle in warm cream, salt and finally baking soda (will lighten and bubble). Simmer 2 min until glossy while stirring. Stir in vanilla off heat. Toss cornflakes and nuts with caramel in two additions. Spread on tray and bake at 300F/150°C FAN ON for 5 min to set, until caramel no longer looks wet. Sprinkle flaky salt and toasted sesame. Cool completely, then break into clusters. If when breaking it’s not as crispy as you’d like, put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes, wait to cool and break some to test crunch again. By @Breadbakebeyond Makes 8 bars Ingredients • 175 g corn flakes cereal • 120 g chopped pecans • 4 tbsp chocolate hazelnut spread • 175 g dark chocolate (70–75% cocoa) • ½ tsp salt Chocolate Ganache • 200 ml coconut cream • 200 g dark chocolate (chips work best) Optional Toppings • Flaky sea salt • Peeled & roasted hazelnuts Method 1️⃣ Line a pan with parchment paper. 2️⃣ Place the cornflakes in a large bag and crush into small pieces. Transfer to a bowl and mix with the chopped pecans. 3️⃣ Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 25-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth. 4️⃣ Add the melted chocolate, chocolate hazelnut spread, and salt to the cornflake mixture. Mix until fully coated. 5️⃣ Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan and smooth the top. 6️⃣ Freeze for 10 minutes until set. 7️⃣ To make the ganache, place chocolate chips in a bowl. 8️⃣ Heat the coconut cream until just boiling, then pour over the chocolate. Whisk until glossy and smooth. 9️⃣ Pour the ganache over the set base. 🔟 Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. 1️⃣1️⃣ Finish with flaky salt and roasted hazelnuts if using. 1️⃣2️⃣ Slice into bars and enjoy 😍 Crunchy base. BASE 1 cup self raising flour (150 grams) 1 cup coconut (75 grams) 1/2 cup sugar 100 grams) 1 heaped tbsp cocoa 1 cup cornflakes (42 grams) 170g butter 1 tsp vanilla essence ICING 1 1/2 cups icing sugar (210 grams) 1 heaped tbsp cocoa 1 tsp butter, melted 1 tsp vanilla essence 1-2 tbsp water - added slowly until desired consistency METHOD 1. Preheat over to 180C (bake) 2. Prepare slice tin with baking paper 3. Melt butter in microwave or stove top, add vanilla and set aside 4. Combine flour, coconut, sugar, cocoa together and add melted butter, vanilla mixture and combine well 5. Add cornflakes and stir gently, you will not be able to combine completely but this can be done when pressing into the tin 6. Pour into prepare tin and using your hands press it all around evenly until well compacted and smooth 7. Bake for 20 minutes and remove from oven 8. Prepare your icing in a small bowl by combining icing sugar, cocoa, butter and vanilla 9. Add the water a little bit at a time, stirring well in between, until you get the desired consistency - a bit thicker than normal is ok as you will be adding it to a warm slice so it will spread and melt 10. Pour onto the slice while still warm & sprinkle with coconut to finish 11. Once cooled slice into squares and serve #homebaker #cornflakes #frugalfood #quickrecipes #baking
