RHMudgee is becoming our go-to long weekend getaway. Just over three hours from Newcastle and Sydney, it’s a fab wine region.
Think family owned vineyards, terrific food, starry nights, friendly locals and hot donuts and coffee sold out of an old Land Rover in a paddock at @oldwheelsgrind
We love the drive and either stop at Merriwa Bakery or we take the scenic Bylong Valley Way. It’s a little bumpy but worth it.

Sleeping up to five across two bedrooms, this rustic luxe, architecturally designed accommodation overlooks a working vineyard to Lawsons Creek and Mount Buckaroo beyond.
There’s a wood-burning fireplace, full-kitchen, free standing bathtub, barbecue and fire-pit. It’s very quiet and the sunsets are remarkable.
Best of all? Bring the dog and kids. ✨🍷🐕🔥
