MUMe realizing...
A man said,
“Why do I keep sinning
the night after I repent?”
Because nothing feels more exhausting
than crying in sujood...
begging Allah to forgive you...
and then falling again
into the same darkness
you promised to leave.
It makes you wonder—
Was my tawbah even real?
Did Allah even accept me?
Or am I just playing games with my Lord?
But the Prophet ﷺ did not shame people
for falling twice.
Or three times.
Or seventy times.
He said:
“A servant committed a sin and said,
‘O Allah, forgive me.’
Allah said:
‘My servant knows he has a Lord
who forgives sins and takes account of them.
I have forgiven him.’
Then he sinned again...
and repented again...
and Allah said the same.
And this continued—
and Allah said:
“‘I have forgiven My servant,
so let him do as he wishes.’”
→ (Sahih al-Bukhari 7507, Sahih Muslim 2758)
*Meaning:*
As long as he keeps returning.
As long as he keeps feeling regret.
As long as he does not become proud of the sin.
*That’s when it hit me:*
True repentance
is not proven by never falling again.
It is proven by never getting comfortable with falling.
It is the pain you feel after.
The guilt that doesn’t let you sleep.
The shame that pushes you back to wudu.
The whisper of “Astaghfirullah” before the night ends.
*Allah says:*
“*Indeed, Allah loves those who constantly repent.*”
→ (Qur’an 2:222)
Not the perfect.
The returning.
If you keep sinning
but you keep crawling back to Allah—
that is not hypocrisy.
That is a heart still alive.
If this felt like it was written for you,
don't lose hope.
And if someone close to you
is fighting the same quiet battle,
share this with them gently.
Sometimes a reminder
is what keeps someone
from giving up on Allah.

WIMe realizing…
Someone once asked,
“Yā RasūlAllāh,
can a child’s duʿā’
change a parent’s fate
after death?”
Because once the grave closes,
we assume it’s over.
The record sealed.
The story finished.
No more chances.
But the Prophet ﷺ said something
that made prayer feel heavier.
He ﷺ said:
“When a person dies,
their deeds come to an end
except for three:
ongoing charity,
beneficial knowledge,
and a righteous child
who prays for them.”
→ (Sahih Muslim 1631)
A righteous child
who prays for them.
That means
a whisper from your lips
can reach a grave.
A tear in sujūd
can cross worlds.
A simple “O Allah, forgive them”
can still move something
after death.
We think duʿā’ is small.
Just words.
Just hope.
But in Islam,
duʿā’ is action.
Your parents may be gone.
Their hands no longer able to act.
Their tongues no longer able to repent.
But yours can.
That’s when it hits you.
You might be
the only reason
light enters their grave.
Not your wealth.
Not flowers.
Not anniversaries.
Your duʿā’.
The Prophet ﷺ also taught
that a man’s rank
can be raised after death,
and he will ask,
“How is this for me?”
And it will be said,
“Because your child
sought forgiveness for you.”
→ (Musnad Ahmad)
Imagine that.
A parent
being lifted higher
because their child
didn’t forget them.
So maybe
being a “righteous child”
isn’t just about obedience
while they’re alive.
It’s about loyalty
after they’re gone.
If this reminded you
of your mother…
your father…
or someone who raised you—
Make duʿā’ for them tonight.
Sometimes the heaviest deeds
are the quietest ones.
May Allah forgive our parents,
have mercy on them,
and make us a source of light
for their graves.

AMSuatu hari, seseorang menghadiahkan setangkai anggur kepada Rasulullah ﷺ. Ternyata, anggur itu rasanya sangat masam.
Namun, Rasulullah ﷺ tetap memakannya satu per satu sampai habis, tanpa menunjukkan ekspresi tidak suka. Beliau juga tidak membagikannya kepada para sahabat yang saat itu berada di sekitar beliau.
Setelah orang yang memberi hadiah itu pergi, para sahabat bertanya kenapa Rasulullah tidak membagikan anggur tersebut seperti biasanya.
Beliau menjawab bahwa anggur itu rasanya sangat masam. Jika dibagikan, dikhawatirkan para sahabat akan menunjukkan ekspresi tidak suka, sehingga bisa menyakiti perasaan orang yang telah memberi hadiah dengan tulus.
MasyaAllah… dari sini kita belajar betapa halusnya perasaan dan akhlak Rasulullah ﷺ dalam menghargai orang lain.

Kisah ini populer dalam ceramah dan kitab akhlak, namun perlu diluruskan:
👉 Kisah anggur masam ini tidak ditemukan dalam hadis shahih yang kuat (tidak diriwayatkan dalam kitab utama seperti Shahih Bukhari atau Shahih Muslim dengan sanad yang sahih).
👉 Para ulama menyebut kisah ini sebagai riwayat lemah (dha’if) atau sekadar cerita hikmah, bukan hadis yang bisa dijadikan dalil hukum.

Walaupun sanadnya lemah, maknanya selaras dengan ajaran Islam:
• Menjaga perasaan orang lain
• Menghargai pemberian sekecil apapun
• Tidak merendahkan pemberian orang
Dan ini sesuai dengan banyak hadis shahih tentang akhlak Rasulullah ﷺ yang penuh kelembutan.
