SE‼️Don’t ruin your wool mats! I realized after using my @olisohome Multimats directly on my DIY Convertible Cut & Press table there was a slight transfer of brown color from the finish onto the wool. Likely from the repeated combo of steam and heat.
💡So I found a simple solution! Heat and moisture proof silicone mats. They’re super thin and even roll up when not in use. They protect your table and your wool mats.
The DIY Convertible Cut & Press Table plans include instructions for making an ironing pad out of insulbright and batting from @thewarmco which is perfect when you are using the whole table top for ironing. BUT if you use it for cutting AND pressing at once, you’ll need a pressing mat, and the insulbright pad would get in the way of your cutting area.
✨So just roll out a silicone mat, and everything will stay nice!
