Explore the benefits of multisensory learning with our letter J table! 📚✨ Multisensory approaches engage multiple senses simultaneously, making them highly effective for various learning styles. They also enhance memory and recall, crucial for early education. In this video, I’ll show you how our letter J table is set up for our ‘letter of the week’ activities. It features interactive buttons that students can press to hear the letter J and its sound, reinforcing auditory learning. As an independent, free choice center, children can choose to work on one tray or explore all of them at their own pace. Watch how this method fosters self-directed learning and makes mastering new letters fun and memorable!

A fun multisensory craft to visualize the Incy Wincy spider rhyme! Vocab: spout, rain/raindrops, cloud, sun, spider Equipment: glue, scissors. Materials: loo roll, blue paper, scrap paper, pipe cleaners, wool, wooden sticks. How to make it: 🕷️ roll blue paper around the loo roll and tuck it in at each end. Alternatively paint blue and leave to dry. 🕷️ draw a cloud on grey paper. Cut it out and stick on the front. Add some raindrops. 🕷️ turn the loo roll around. Cut out a sun and some rays. Stick them on. 🕷️ punch holes on either side at the top. 🕷️ cut four pieces of pipe cleaner. Twist together in the middle to make a spider. 🕷️ tie the spider onto a piece of wool. 🕷️ put the stick through one hole, tie on the other end of the wool, put the stick through the next hole. 🕷️ incy should be hanging out the bottom. Now you can sing the song and let incy climb up and down the spout! Sun side first: Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout. Rain side: down came the rain and washed poor Incy out. Sun side: out came the sun and dried up all the rain, so Incy Wincy spider climbed up the spout again. Another fun and easy way to integrate technology into learning time! These are videos by @primarytechie - She has a website called whiteboardwarmups.com and there are literally thousands of videos like these! A few years ago, I started with just a couple of her “7 minute whiteboard” videos on TpT as an interactive way to practice proper letter formation and handwriting. I LOVED them so much (and of course my students did too), that I now subscribe to her site! It’s very worth it. Let me know if you check them out and if you have any questions! I can’t recommend her videos enough!! This is a compilation of five different playdough videos that we completed on different days in the first few weeks of kindergarten🤩 #iteachk #multisensorylearning #technologyintegration #lettersounds #abcbootcamp #learningisfun #phonics#joyfullearning #happyclassrooms #kindergartenteacher #kindergarten #newteacher #elementaryteacher #teaching #iteach #prek #firstgrade #earlychildhoodeducation #teachersfollowteachers #teacherideas #backtoschool #handsonlearning

👋 See it. 💬 Say it. ✋ Touch it. 🧠 Learn it. Multisensory instruction isn’t just a buzzword… it’s how the brain learns best. 🧠 When kids engage multiple senses (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile) they’re not just memorizing. They’re making real, lasting connections in the brain. This is especially powerful for struggling readers and students with Dyslexia. It’s not about doing more. It’s about teaching smarter. 📚 counting out sounds, tracing on a tactile surface, saying words out loud… it all works together to make learning stick. . . #teachers #teachersofinstagram #ogoa #dyslexia #ortongillingham #ortongillinghamonlineacademy #specialeducation #specialeducationteacher #teachersfollowteachers #teachersofig #teacherlife #iteach #teachtoo #teacher #teachersofinsta #targetteachers #iteachk #kinderteacher #scienceofreading #parents #specialneedsmom #homeschool #homeschoolmom #homeschooling #phonicsforkids #teacherresources #phonics #multisensory

Cardboard Phonics Day 1 - DIY Tactile Letter Cards Research shows that children learn best when we use a multisensory approach. Try making these easy-to-make, super sensory cards to develop letter recognition and formation. Children will not only see the letter but feel it! As they run their finger along the letter they begin to understand and remember how the letter is formed and this will prompt the movement to be stored in their muscle memory. Make sure you are following the page so you don't miss out on loads more ways to use cardboard to practise phonics that I'll be sharing this week. #phonicsfamily #phonics #letters #learningletters #alphabet #cardboard #cardboardalphabetplay #handsonlearning #diy #education #teaching #learning #montessori #montessoriinspired #montessoriathome #inspiration #sensoryplay #preschool #prek #childdevelopment
