For years I wore sweats and oversized sweatshirts to the airport because I thought feeling comfortable meant wearing just that! I didn’t think twice about it. Travel days felt chaotic, exhausting, and I dressed to survive them - not to feel good in them.
But about a year ago I decided to change that. Now, if you see me in an airport, I’m almost always in @rhone — specifically the DreamGlow™ set in any of their colors, my last trip being in their new Whisper Gray colorway. It’s become my non-negotiable travel uniform.
And here’s what shifted when I stopped wearing sweats:
1. I feel more comfortable.

2. My Airport Alter Ego
Turns out when I look put together for a flight, the whole airport notices. I’m not special - I just wore real pants.
3. Travel itself feels lighter and makes me more confident.
You never know who you’ll meet in a terminal or sit next to on a plane, and it feels better showing up in something that reflects who I want to be, not the version of me that’s barely getting through the day.
I didn’t stop wearing sweats to be fancy. I stopped because I wanted to feel awake, confident, and clear - even when I’m tired, even when I’m running after my toddler, even when I’m sprinting to the gate.
If your current airplane uniform isn’t giving you confidence, try upgrading to something that does. I started with Rhone, and I’m not going back.
