And when sunlight falls on them, they cast the most beautiful, colorful reflections on the wall. I actually bought a similar suncatcher from them two years ago, and it still looks just as lovely and the colors haven’t faded at all. The butterfly metal wall plate and dried flower vase set are from @thewishingchair . They always have such pretty home decor pieces. I’ve bought ceramic wall plates from them before, and I still adore how they instantly brighten up a space. The small frames and dried flowers are from @amazondotin . They’re so delicate and pretty, perfect little touches that make the corner feel warm and personal.

We take indigenous ingredients for granted and obsess over expensive, hyped foreign produce. As a chef, nothing hurts me more. When the truth is, eating a diverse range of produce is the best way to live a healthy, sustainable and delicious life. Stop eating the same old plants and add flavour to your dishes with new ingredients! The winter season will soon be over, and so will the season of sweet potatoes. Oh, the taste of charcoal-grilled sweet potatoes sprinkled with chat masala and freshly squeezed lime juice. Who’s drooling? But this post isn’t about the love of sweet potatoes. It’s for its less sought-after counterpart - the leaves. 💪Most people don’t know this but sweet potato leaves are edible and packed with flavour and essential micro-nutrients like Vitamin B6 and K, zinc, magnesium, and manganese and this abundant vine thrives in the summer heat. We harvest the leaves all year round until the root vegetable is ready in #MyBageecha . Such abundance, much gratitude! I like to use the leaves in salads, stir-fries, and my favorite - raita. RECIPE for Sweet Potato Leaf Raita 1. Wash the leaves properly and blanch In 1 cup yogurt, add 5-6 mint leaves Chopped coriander red chili powder ½ tbsp Cumin powder ½ tbsp salt - to taste For tempering: Heat the oil, add black mustard seeds, curry leaves, and red chilli powder. Add this tempering to the bowl of raita. Voila! Also known as water leaf owing to the high (90% water content). The best part is that it is so easy to grow. It spreads like mad and before you know it you have an entire bed, enough for you and to share.
