Mille-Feuille Nabe 🍲 | perfect winter meal #millefeulle #nabe #japanesefood #soup #easyrecipe Ingredients 1. 500g thinly cut pork belly 2. 7-8 napa cabbage leaves 3. Soup: 1 cup water, 1 packet dashi powder, 1 tbs soy, 1 tbs mirin, 2 tbs sake, 1/2 tsp salt, 5 slices ginger 4. Mushrooms of your choice: i used shimeji, enoki, shiitake 5. Dipping sauce: ponzu/tsuyu/soy sauce (your choice), togarashi, scallions 1. Quarter nappa cabbage, peel and wash leaves 2. Layer pork belly slices in between each leaf 3. Cut into even sections and assemble in pot 4. Make room for mushrooms in the centre and insert ginger evenly in empty space. 5. Mix soup ingredients and pour stock into the pot and bring to a boil, then reduce to medium and cook for 8 minutes until pork and cabbages are cooked through 6. Sauce: combine ingredients as listed above Enjoy!

Mille Feuille Tonyu Nabe (Soymilk Hot Pot) ˙ᵕ˙♡ Made a layered mille feuille nabe but instead of meat, thinly sliced kabocha squash with a mandolin and layered that in between the napa cabbage leaves. Added some thinly sliced leeks into the folds as well for more flavour, carrots for decoration and shimeji mushrooms in the middle. The broth is an easy soymilk based broth I made with the vegan dashi recipe from my blog, and you can add almost any vegetable you like to this dish! 🥬 Nabe millefeuille au chou chinois et poitrine de boeuf 🐂 Ingrédients : •1 chou chinois •6 chou pak choï •300 g de poitrine de porc ou boeuf en tranches fines •100 g de champignons enoki •1 litre de bouillon dashi •1 c. à soupe de sauce soja •1 c. à soupe de mirin •1 c. à soupe de saké •1 c.à soupe de sucre Sauce au yuzu 🍋 •3 c. à soupe de sauce soja •1 c. à soupe de jus de yuzu (ou citron jaune) •1 zeste de yuzu @marion.lemonstory •2 c. à soupe de vinaigre de riz •1 c. à soupe de graines de sésame grillées •1 oignon vert émincé •1 cac de chili oil Préparation : •Détachez et rincez les feuilles de chou chinois et de pak choï. •Formez une pile en alternant une feuille de chou, une feuille de pak choï, une tranche de boeuf . Répétez jusqu’à épuisement des ingrédients. •Coupez cette pile en morceaux de taille égale pour bien les disposer dans la casserole, en les serrant bien. It’s one of the quickest, easiest winter cozy meals you can make to warm up your soul 🥰⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Since all you need to do is to cook these various fish cakes in water (or broth of your choice!), there’s no written recipe for this! But I have a few tips to make your oden tang extra flavorful✨⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1️⃣ USE Crysanthamum greens (Tongho) for the broth! If you haven’t tried the lovely minty flavors of these Asian greens, you are missing out! They complement with fish cakes SO WELL, and I almost feel like oden tang isn’t complete without it!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ USE both miso and hondashi to create deep flavors in a short time ⁣ ⁣⁣ 3️⃣ ADD other fillings to make it extra hearty! Pair this with rice or add noodles to the soup. What about rice cakes?! You can even crack an egg with leftover rice into the broth to make porridge (one of my favorite ways to end my meal with oden tang, in fact!)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4️⃣ PAIR your plump oden with wasabi and lemon sauce. It’s a 2:1 ratio of soy sauce and rice wine vinegar with freshly squeezed lemon and wasabi.
