FIFor his Autumn/Winter showcase at Paris Fashion Week, Jonathan Anderson took us into his garden of water lilies at the historic Jardin des Tuileries. Taking cues from the venue’s iconic olive-green chairs, colour became a defining element in the set design and the collection’s visual rhythm.
Nature unfurled as the central motif. Ostrich feather trims mimicked delicate petals, arum lily accents bloomed across silhouettes, and ribbons cascaded through ruffles and tiered constructions, as the collection reinterpreted the house’s iconic Bar jackets and Victorian silhouettes. The accessories punctuated the narrative with wit and whimsy – peanut-shaped clutches, lily-pad earrings, and reimagined top-handled Lady Diors sat alongside bow-adorned totes and playful polka-dotted pumps. Romantic yet composed, the collection felt like a slow promenade through a living painting.
