CHIf you are a fitness enthusiast and have basic knowledge of gym equipment, @ncsfuplift needs you!
NCSF Uplift is a volunteer-led programme that allows people with special needs to benefit from strength training.
There will be a workout planned and as a volunteer, you will assist and guide them in the strength and resistance exercises.
Aged between 18 to 27, this helps them to maintain muscle mass as they age, as many of them are not re-integrated into society after they graduate from school at 18 and may not get enough physical activity.
There are 50 people with special needs on the wait list for this programme, thus they need your help to volunteer your time to train them so more of them can benefit from this.
The sessions run every day - in the evenings on weekdays and in the mornings on weekends. Minimum commitment for volunteers is once a week.
You don’t need to be a certified trainer and you will be given basic special needs training. Caregivers are also with you at all time, so you’re not alone.

Here, they find confidence, community, and joy through fitness, guided by passionate volunteers who give their time and heart.
For @hyroxsg in November, NCSF Uplift is sending 8 athletes (7 male and 1 female), to complete in the Adaptive category. Do cheer them on!
NCSF Uplift is always looking for more volunteers and gym partners to join the movement and help even more buddies grow stronger, one rep at a time.
