KII’ve tried a lot of shaving products, and most of them either leave my skin dry after or don’t give that smooth glide but this hydrating shave jelly actually surprised me.
First thing I noticed is the texture, it starts as a jelly and lathers just enough to create a cushion without feeling heavy or foamy. It helps the razor glide super easily, so I didn’t get that tugging feeling or irritation (especially on more sensitive areas).
I like that it has glycerin, squalane, and aloe vera, which all help keep moisture in the skin while you shave and I could actually feel the difference after rinsing. My skin didn’t have that tight, stripped feeling like with traditional shaving foams.
One thing to note: it does contain fragrance (vanilla tangerine) and a stronger cleanser base (like sodium olefin sulfonate), so if your skin is extremely sensitive, I’d patch test first. But for me, the scent is soft, slightly creamy citrus, not overpowering, and it makes the whole routine feel more elevated.
Overall, it’s one of those products that turns a basic step into more of a self-care moment… and I actually didn’t feel like I needed to rush to moisturize right after.
