3 Networking Concepts For Your INTERVIEW 🌐 DNS translates names into IP addresses. Ports help your machine know which service to talk to. NAT allows private machines to communicate with the public internet securely. In one simple flow: DNS finds the server. Port identifies the service. NAT enables communication. That’s the real networking path most interviewers want to see you understand. Follow for more interview concepts! . . Comment AUTHENTIC NETWORKING and I’ll send you a copy! I think networking gets a bad rap - people see it as this awkward process of hitting up strangers to try and finagle an intro or job referral or some other favor of transactional nature. But good networking, that actually adds value without feeling icky, comes from building real relationships. This takes away the weirdness of asking for favors, and opens up even more doors when people keep you top of mind for opportunities. The catch, however, is that this relationship-building needs to happen before you reach the point of “transaction”. If you are actively looking for a job and “need a network now”, lead with a curiosity to learn, rather than only seeking favors, and you’ll find that people are more willing to help. #networking #professionalnetworking #careergrowth #jobsearchstrategy #jobsearch

Subnet Mask Explained in Under 90 Seconds A subnet mask helps your device figure out which part of an IP address is the network and which part is the device (host). For example: IP: 192.168.1.10 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 👉 The subnet mask “separates” the address: •192.168.1 = Network •.10 = Device 💡 This helps routers know where to send data efficiently within a network. Simple idea: Think of a subnet mask like a filter that tells your network: “Is this device inside my network or outside?” #Networking #SubnetMask #IPaddress #TechExplained #NetworkingBasics
