Short Summary
Set in the bustling city of Shenzhen, the story follows Jing Hao, a 20-year-old high-school dropout who works as a phone repairman to support his young sister, who requires expensive heart surgery.
Desperate for money, he gambles his savings on a large shipment of defective smartphones, intending to refurbish them.
However, a sudden government crackdown on the secondhand phone market leaves him with unsellable stock.
To save his investment, Jing Hao pursues the chairman of a major tech firm, ultimately convincing him to give him a chance to provide
high-quality recycled parts. Jing Hao must lead a ragtag team of workers (including high-rise window washers and misfits) to complete an impossible production quota within a strict deadline, all while battling extreme poverty and physical injury.
