1. Most people think a nuclear strike means instant death for everyone. That’s a myth. Research by FEMA and civil defense agencies in different countries shows the same thing - most victims after the initial strike don’t die from the explosion. They die within the first 24-72 hours from radioactive contamination that could have been avoided. Simply because no one knew what to do in the first hour. 2. Here’s what determines everything. Radioactive fallout is the most dangerous part after the explosion - it settles within the first 15-30 minutes. A person who is outside during this time receives a dose 50-100 times higher than someone who gets inside any building. Any building - brick, concrete, even wood - is better than nothing. A concrete basement reduces exposure by 200-500 times. That’s the difference between life and death - literally. 3. And now the harsh truth. 95% of people in a nuclear strike will go outside. Out of curiosity. Panic. To find relatives. Exactly in the first 30 minutes when fallout is most active. That’s the main cause of death - not the blast, not radiation from the epicenter, but fallout in the first half hour in open air. 4. The algorithm that only 1 in 1,000 people knows. When you see the flash - drop down, cover your head, don’t look. After that - immediately go to the nearest building. Close all windows and ventilation. Remove outer clothing at the entrance. Wash yourself. Do not go outside for at least 24 hours. Turn on the radio - official channels will give instructions. That’s enough to survive the first wave. 5. Civil defense exists exactly for this. It’s just no longer taught. But the knowledge that saves lives is still simple and accessible. #nuclearwar #ww3 #nuclearfallout #middleeast #iran IRAN - USA War

It was one of those moments where everything changes and nothing is the same ever. Somehow, India developed a nuke without anyone knowing. And Pakistan was right behind them. What made this event in late 1998 so crazy was that the United States had eyes all over India. And still missed it. They knew India had nuclear capabilities after Smiling Buddha in the 70’s, but nothing like this. And they couldn’t believe they missed it. This was the post Cold War world; American spy satellites could read license plates. But India basically hid an entire nuclear test program right under their noses. Scientists would move equipment at night, cover test shafts with nets and sand to hide the heat signatures, and even limit how many people knew what was happening. When the bombs finally went off in the Rajasthan desert, Washington was blindsided. Once India did it, Pakistan had no choice. The two countries had fought multiple wars since independence in 1947 over Kashmir. Neither one trusted the other for a second. There was even rumors that the CIA helped Oakistan develop their own nuke to keep things “even”, but we’ll never know. just a few weeks later, Pakistan detonated their own nuclear devices in the mountains of Chagai. And now the Nuke club had two new members, whether anyone liked it or not. And the craziest part is that in both countries people celebrated in the streets. Fireworks, flags, speeches. Because to them, this wasn’t about starting a nuclear war. It was about making sure nobody could ever push them around again. But to the rest of the world, especially the people who remembered the Cold War, it felt like watching two rivals walk into a room carrying gasoline and matches at the same time. And then both countries went to war anyways just months later…and the rest is history.

1. Black Death The Black Death wiped out nearly half of Europe in just a few years. Entire villages disappeared, economies collapsed and people believed humanity was facing divine punishment and possible extinction. 2. Spanish Flu The Spanish Flu infected one-third of the world and killed up to 100 million people, more than World War I itself. Proving how fragile global survival can be. 3. World War II World War II devastated the planet with 70–85 million deaths and introduced atomic weapons, showing that humanity had finally created the power to destroy itself. 4. Cuban Missile Crisis During the Cuban Missile Crisis, the United States and Soviet Union stood minutes away from nuclear war. One wrong move could have triggered global annihilation. 5. Toba Supereruption Around 74,000 years ago, the Toba Supereruption may have reduced the human population to just a few thousand survivors, nearly ending our species before civilization even began. Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr Ira Helfand has warned that “Hiroshima and Nagasaki do not begin to prepare us for what would happen if nuclear weapons were used today”. Speaking to MEE Live’s Mathilda Mallinson, Dr Helfand said that most nuclear weapons currently in the US and Russian arsenals are between six and 50 times more powerful than the bombs used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, adding that a nuclear war today would likely result in “the total destruction of human civilisation”. Editor’s note: This caption has been updated to correct Dr Helfand’s descriptor from physicist to physician. Dr Helfand has had founding roles in multiple Nobel Peace Prize winning anti-nuclear scientist-led coalitions

The Cuban Missile Crisis (often linked to Cold War tensions involving oil, power, and military influence) occurred in October 1962 between the United States and the Soviet Union over nuclear missiles placed in Cuba. After the Cuban Revolution, Cuba aligned with the Soviet Union, worrying the U.S. When American spy planes discovered missile bases, a tense 13-day standoff began. The U.S. imposed a naval blockade, while both sides prepared for possible nuclear war. Eventually, a peaceful agreement was reached: the Soviets removed missiles from Cuba, and the U.S. secretly agreed to remove its missiles from Turkey. This crisis is considered the closest the world came to nuclear war during the Cold War . . #middleeastwar #war #ww3

Prinston universiteti (AQSh) tadqiqotchilari tomonidan yaratilgan "Plan A" nomli simulyatsiyadan olingan. Unda Rossiya va NATO o'rtasidagi ehtimoliy yadroviy to'qnashuvning bir necha soat ichida qanday avj olishi ko'rsatilgan. 2. Simulyatsiya nimani anglatadi? Chiziqlar: Raketalarning uchish trayektoriyasi va nishonlarga zarba berishini ifodalaydi. Qizil hududlar: Yadroviy zarba berilgan va yuqori radiatsiya tarqalgan hududlar. Bosh chanoq (Skul): Global miqyosdagi ommaviy o'lim va insoniyat sivilizatsiyasining halokatini ramziy ravishda ko'rsatadi. 3. Yadro urushining asosiy oqibatlari Agar bunday urush sodir bo'lsa, olimlar quyidagi dahshatli bosqichlarni bashorat qilishadi: Lahzalik halokat: Portlash markazida hamma narsa soniyalar ichida bug'lanib ketadi. Yadro qishi (Nuclear Winter): Portlashlar natijasida atmosferaga ko'tarilgan millionlab tonna qora tutun va qurum quyosh nurini to'sib qo'yadi. Natijada Yer yuzida harorat keskin tushib ketadi (muzlash davri boshlanadi). Global ocharchilik: Quyosh nuri yetishmasligi sababli qishloq xo'jaligi butunlay to'xtaydi, bu esa tirik qolganlarning ko'pchiligi ochlikdan halok bo'lishiga olib keladi. 4. Hozirgi holat Bugungi kunda dunyoda 12 000 dan ortiq yadro kallaklari mavjud (asosan Rossiya va AQShda). Bunday simulyatsiyalar siyosatchilar va jamoatchilikni yadro qurolidan voz kechishga va tinchlikni saqlashga chaqirish uchun yaratiladi. #politics #russia #usa #nuclearwar
