Because women’s desire makes society uncomfortable. Because a woman who wants is harder to control, shame, or silence. Because desire in women is still seen as something to fix, censor, or moral-police. Sexual desire is human. Just not for women. Men are allowed urges. Women are given rules. Men are excused. Women are examined. A woman is desirable—but not desiring. Available—but not curious. Wanted—but never wanting. And if this made you angry, tired, or quietly numb, it makes sense. This isn’t new. This is learned. Early. Repeatedly. Everywhere. You don’t have to say anything. But you’re not imagining it. And you’re definitely not alone. #FemaleDesire #WomenWant #DesireIsHuman #WomenAreHuman #LetWomenWant

Funny thing is… the people trying to disprove my point ended up proving it. In movies, women’s bodies and desires are turned into poetry, lyrics, and entertainment. But the moment a woman expresses her own choice in real life, suddenly everyone becomes a moral science teacher. Objectification = entertainment. Female autonomy = problem. That contradiction is the conversation. #patriarchy #indiansociety #feminism #telugureels #misogyny [female agency, patriarchy, double standards, misogyny, objectification in media, feminist commentary, gender politics, women autonomy, media criticism, social commentary, feminism, cultural critique]

This is a global problem but it’s WORST in India. I’m SICK of Indian Men (Part 2 of Many) The new generation of artists - musicians, dancers, painters, rappers, everyone- CANNOT BE NORMALISING THIS. So many millennials - including myself - find the strength to take a stand and stand up for what we believe in BECAUSE of our GenZ sisters and brothers. It sickens me to think that this kind of misogyny and violence is so normalised both online and offline that they aren’t feelings strong enough to fight it anymore. I’m posting this as it’s happening - which terrifies me because I usually overthink everything on social media. But this can’t wait. On my journey to become a better feminist, I have to be willing to share the shit that comes with being self assured and confident of one’s own body. The gall it takes to share your physicality online - which is supposed to be an empowering experience- is sometimes eclipsed by the onslaught of icky comments and frighteningly obscene threats and solicitations you receive. WHAT IM VERY EXCITED ABOUT HOWEVER IS THAT MY DESIRE TO SHARE MY MUSIC AND MY COMEDY AND MY NSFW THOUGHTS ISNT GOING ANYWHERE. It actually just makes me more determined to find the people who can appreciate a woman owning her sexuality without weaponising it against her. But it’s disappointing to realise that you’re kind of yon your own because the very platform you’re depending on to find your community doesn’t really care if you feel safe here. And it’s hilarious that Instagram needs me to censor the words describing what we’ve been through. But old white men’s Island content works just fine. People think feminism is about being loud. It’s actually about moments like this. No one was rude. No one was angry. Still, a woman was told what she should and shouldn’t touch based on nothing but habit. This is how women are reminded, quietly and daily, that some spaces, decisions, and responsibilities are assumed to belong to men. Feminism exists for these small moments. Because they’re not small when they happen every day. #dailysexism #feminism #reel #reelitfeelitā¤ļøā¤ļø #reelinstagramā¤ļø

D454 --- Female Desire Is Not A Sin Women expressing desire doesn’t make them ā€˜less moral’. It just exposes how conditioned we are. The same society that hypersexualizes women in ads and movies shames them when they express a basic human emotion. This isn’t about desire... this is about dignity, autonomy and equality. Normalizing men’s desires while policing women’s feelings is the oldest hypocrisy in our culture.

When a 60-year-old hero romances a 20-year-old heroine, the audience whistles. When a confident woman stands on stage at 35 or 40, suddenly the crowd remembers age and screams ā€œaunty.ā€ So the issue isn’t age. It’s a culture obsessed with women staying forever young for the male gaze. Young women are sexualized. Older women are mocked. Middle-aged women are fetishized online. But respect? That never seems to enter the conversation. Maybe the problem isn’t women aging. Maybe the problem is a society that only knows how to look at women through desire or ridicule. #feminism #malegaze #ageshaming #patriarchy #telugucinema [feminism, male gaze, age shaming, aunty trolling, misogyny in cinema, telugu cinema sexism, gender double standards, women in media, objectification of women, feminist commentary, patriarchy, social conditioning, celebrity culture critique, indian cinema critique]
