Loooore time
When Skip finally settles into the routine of the dog fighting ring he starts to befriend the illegally caught wolf, Sever. The rest of the dogs on the farm keep Sever at an arms length due to a previous incident where he was pit against his friend, Sport, in the ring. Where only one of them would walk out alive. Skip came to the fighting ring after the fact so he wasn’t aware of what Sever went through. The wolf was very apprehensive about Skip, having no interest and not wanting to befriend anyone to spare himself the grief. The two would eventually slowly bond overtime but Sever always had an anxious pit in his stomach, being that Skip reminded him of Sport.
(Sport was actually never intentionally mean to Sever, it’s just his own mind haunting him since he killed his only and first friend). At this time they’re both young adolescents, around five months old

To give a quick background Gwendolyn has fought and bled to get where she is now, her skills and her honor, it wasn't an easy tasks considering what others thought of her pursuing such a field. She wanted to prove herself still but when she was assigned to be the crown prince's guard she felt insulted at the passive and ceremonial role and now she looks for a way out.
Arthur is the crown prince by birth right but many doubt of his abilities to rule because he's soft spoken and struggles to stand his ground. The court doesn't want him to be the next king and prefers his younger brother but Arthur despite all of that tries very hard and when he learned dame Gwendolyn was to be his guard he was very happy because she was a knight whom he admired her skills but then he began noticing how she doesn't quite seemed pleased with him.
