TWHappy New Year! And we're straight back at it - rescuing, reusing, upcycling and remanufacturing. During the production of all garments, leftover pieces of fabric are generated. These scraps are typically created in the cutting stage of a garment and discarded at the end of a production run.
We use these offcuts to design new products creating an almost zero waste production process. With attention to detail and an eye for design a wasteful process can become efficient leaving as little leftovers as possible. It’s not rocket science!
One of our favourite collaborations utilising every little bit of offcuts is the reflective shoulder bag for @we_lovemagenta @deutschetelekom made from leftovers that were generated during the production of a different style.

_IMost of those off-cuts gathered through the years can be used. This is what I do.
When I cut my linen garments there always are little bits left and only really tiny ones are thrown away ( to be recycled). Or at times you ask me to shorten ordered dress or a skirt and some plant-dyed strap of linen is left behind.
Long linen scraps I use to make ties for wrapping orders and also to create those wabi-sabi scrap “roses”...
Maybe you also came up with a good idea where to use small fabric off-cuts? Please share!
