CAAfter a last three week swing to finish up the year at work, it also marked my last day in the drilling/mining industry 👷🏼♀️ It’s been an unforgettable experience of testing my willpower and capabilities but I’m pretty friggen proud of what I accomplished during my time there. Never would I have ever imagined I could change a truck tyre by myself, service and operate an auxillery, booster or drill rig, make hoses and do mechanical maintenance, drive trucks on some crazy steep and rough tracks in the bush and so much more. Might seem like just another day to some guys but for little ole hairdresser me it was an extraordinary adventure 😅.
I was initially planning on staying in the industry a little longer but the goal for me was to get to drill and I managed to accomplish that, so I’m content with finishing up on that good note and starting next year on a fresh chapter.
I’m certainly going to miss the antics, the crews and friends I’ve made but I’m equally excited to get back into things I use to enjoy and embark on a new journey.
