Here’s the game. Change levels from high to medium to low and from low to medium to high, ending in the same place I started, if I can. Infinite possibilities here - a chair adds a completely different dimension. And I can adjust level of challenge from very easy to very hard out of respect for how I’m feeling and for what I’m trying to accomplish.

I love this kind of thing. The transitions from one movement to another are doorways to creativity and windows through which I can observe and learn about my strength, mobility, balance and mental agility.

And then there is the play of practice. How can I dance within the constraints? What if I added a rule or took one away? What is interesting or intriguing or puzzling? How could this be more engaging or more enjoyable or simply more fun? How can I make the movement more than the sum of its parts?

And when I let go of what I’m doing today, what is valuable to take with me into tomorrow?
