Merrimack Friends, As the filing season for candidacy for town and school offices has begun for the Town of Merrimack and after much reflection, I have made the very difficult decision not to seek re-election to the Merrimack Town Council. Public service has and remains a passion of mine and one of the greatest honors of my life. In 2018, at just 20 years old, I was elected by write-in vote to the Merrimack School District Budget Committee. What started as a leap of faith became seven incredible years of service through April 2025; serving as Vice-Chair and later as Acting Chair. During that time, I also had the privilege of serving on the Town of Merrimack Ethics Committee (2021–2024) and the Merrimack School District Strategic Planning Committee (2023–2024). At 25 years old in 2023, I was humbled to become the youngest ever elected member of the Merrimack Town Council. Representing our town as the Town Council Representative on the Parks & Recreation Committee, the John O’Leary Adult Community Center Board, and the 250th Anniversary Planning Committee has been deeply meaningful and the time I have spent on these committees has been nothing but a pleasure and a whole lot of fun! Over the years, my service to the town of Merrimack has taught me so much and has allowed me the opportunity to meet and form relationships with so many of our town residents, who make this community so special! Thank you to all of you who have gotten involved, come out to vote and made your voice heard on so many important topics that impact our town. Serving you has been a true pleasure! While I may be stepping away from elected office for now, my commitment to Merrimack and to public service remains unchanged and I look forward to running for public office again in the future! Thank you for your trust, your vote, your encouragement and your belief in me for all of these years. Thank you will never be enough and it’s been a wonderful journey! 🩷
