PIHighway trip but make it a Florida style road instead 🌊🛶 🏝️
We could not have been more excited to get to take Pingüino out on a paddleboard adventure, since he’s a Florida boy!
We first prepped him by finding him a life jacket that fit his measurements and getting him used to it by using treats. This one is from @zippypaws and we loved the headrest for comfort and handle for easy emergency access ❤️
We always kept him on an escape-proof harness (our favorite is from @outdoorbengal ) and leash that was clipped on with a carabiner to the paddleboard rings, just to be safe! Also, he always wears an AirTag in a waterproof collar on any adventure for safety as well
As for his backpack, we secured it on both sides with carabiners to the paddleboard rings as well, so that he had a little safe space to hide out in if loud boats came by, or if he needed a nap !
Since this was in Florida, we made sure to find a Spring Launch that allowed pets, as many parks/springs do not. I always recommend doing your research beforehand with spots being pet friendly in order to ensure a safe and smooth adventure ✨
I also have plenty of experience being out on the water, so please make sure you are aware of your own limitations if you do choose to have a water adventure so that it is safe!!
