I fear I still have a new hyperfixation hobby and it’s still velvet embossing✨ We’re using our cutie stamp from @papersource and I learned a lot more with trying pieces these out! Ultimately none of them really worked, but I think it’s still so important to share all of the pieces of the process, even if it isn’t “successful” or “perfect”. Because I did a test stamp in hard to see places I’ll still wear all of these beauties I found and I’ll keep searching to find the velvet blends that work 🥰 most of these had spandex in them which I think is why they didn’t emboss well. This is your sign to let yourself have a hobby that’s just fun and let’s you experiment. No productivity. No side hustle. And no perfection. Have you tried velvet embossing yet?! I used beautiful papers , tags, ribbon, and highlighters (and even some of the mail they’ve sent me!) to build this junk journal spread! I printed a photo with @hpsprocket which I LOVE because the photos come out on sticker-backed paper! I have wanted one of these for a while! The @shopcanvas.co creator lamp made filming the whole project so easy with adjustable brightness and light temperature! It’s a game changer! Once upon a time, we lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I fell in love with a paper store. I think it was the first time I saw handmade paper and a wall of cardstock in every color. This store had everything I was interested in - card making supplies, stickers and washi tape, gift boxes and cute gifts, planners and journals, and cards galore. The last time we visited the Twin Cities was 2022 for a friend’s wedding, and I made sure we stopped by Paper Source before we left. I can’t remember what I picked up on that trip, but I do remember the nostalgic feeling of crafters’ paradise (see the end of the video to see my joy hehe).
