SLReposted from @goosee9 Took 20 mins and whipped up this VERY BASIC proof of concept for an illuminated slipmat/record platter to show off all of these amazing vinyl pressings that are coming out. Used a clear 3mm slip mat, LED strip lights and runner, foil as a light reflector/isolator, and lots of scotch tape. Not bad for the very first iteration. Now who wants to make me a clear/frosted LP platter with fiber optics and light diffusers for an AudioTechnica LP-120? Das „Rauschen“ bei Schallplatten kommt nicht einfach nur vom Alter – sondern vor allem von kleinen Störungen in genau diesen Rillen.
Staub, Kratzer oder winzige Unebenheiten sorgen dafür, dass die Nadel nicht mehr sauber durch die aufgezeichneten Bewegungen gleitet. Statt nur der Musik entstehen zusätzliche Schwingungen – und die hörst du dann als Knistern oder Rauschen.
Und genau hier kommt Digitalisierung ins Spiel:
Beim Digitalisieren wird der Klang einmal sauber ausgelesen und kann anschließend bearbeitet werden – z. B. um Rauschen zu reduzieren, ohne die eigentliche Musik zu verlieren.
So bleibt der Charakter erhalten, aber die Störgeräusche werden deutlich weniger 🎧
