YO1. While parents are alive, they silently hold the family structure together. Birthdays, holidays, phone calls, traditions — all of it runs through them. Siblings don’t maintain connection directly; they orbit the same center. When that center disappears, the system collapses. What looks like conflict is often just the absence of gravity.
2. After the funeral, something practical but painful happens: there is no longer a “neutral ground.” Every meeting now carries history, comparison, and old roles. The quiet one stays quiet. The responsible one carries more. The resentful one finally stops pretending. Without parents buffering tension, childhood dynamics surface raw.
3. Many siblings don’t separate because they fought — they separate because no one knows how to relate as adults. As children, they were “brother” and “sister.” As adults, they would need to choose each other intentionally. Most never learned how. Silence slowly replaces routine contact.
4. Inheritance and logistics often get blamed, but they are rarely the root cause. Money only exposes what was already fragile. The deeper split usually happens earlier — when grief is processed alone instead of together. Each sibling mourns a different parent, a different childhood, a different loss.
5. The hardest truth is this: parents don’t just raise children, they hold siblings together. When they’re gone, relationships don’t automatically survive. They either evolve — or quietly dissolve. And many families never talk about it, because admitting it feels like a second loss.
Some families don’t break from hatred.
They drift from unspoken distance.

Let me explain what's going on here.
The thing narcissistic parents need the most is control.
They use it to hold just about everything in their life together.
I’m talking about their relationships, image, emotions, all of it.
So, in the video, the parent asked the child to get them the apron.
This means they're expecting the child to grab the apron and hand it to them.
But when the child reaches for the apron, a few things fall out of the cabinet.
This mistake (it wasn't even the kid's fault) isn't part of the parent's plan.
And because of this, it feels like a threat.
More specifically, a threat to their sense of control.
So they lash out like this to "eliminate" that threat as quickly as possible.
There's nothing normal or understandable about this.
The fact that the punishment never matches the "crime" is not okay.
You shouldn't have had to go through this, and I'm really sorry you did.

MBThis was literally the most shocking situation I have faced.
A school is supposed to teach ethics and values to the students but they are themselves guilty of not following the same. We as parents need to come together and take this up strongly, otherwise education will continue to be just a scam.

KEI’m 36. And honestly… I thought I’d have life figured out by now.
1. I grew up poor. Low-income housing. Divorced parents. Mom on welfare working constantly just to keep things together. For a long time I blamed my circumstances instead of taking ownership. Growing up like that wired me for survival mode, and I stayed there most of my life.
2. I didn’t go to university.
After high school I had to move out and went straight to work just to make ends meet, sometimes juggling three jobs. For years I resented the hand I was dealt.
3. I was bullied through most of elementary and high school. It took me years to realize how much that affected my confidence.
4. I grew up around street culture. Rough influences.
That environment pulled me in directions that didn’t bring out the best in me.
5. I wasted most of my 20s, early 30s. Drinking. Drugs. Chasing highs. Running from anything real. I wasn’t building a life. I was drifting. And I’m still angry about how much time I lost.
6. I’ve hit rock bottom more than once.
And every time I blamed my childhood. My environment. My trauma. Instead of taking responsibility for my choices.
7. I walked away from a long-term relationship with someone who was actually good for me. Only later realizing I probably wasn’t mature enough for what we had. I haven’t been in a serious relationship since.
8. I spent nearly a decade chasing a career that looked impressive on the outside. I thought if I proved myself enough, I’d finally feel like enough. Instead, I burned out and quit.
Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m determined to make the rest of my life better than everything that came before.
Sharing this publicly is uncomfortable.
Because at 36 I feel like I should already have my life together.
But the truth is… I’m starting all over again. And gonna figure it out as I go.

Let’s not call it failure. Let’s call it becoming.

ADHere’s the backstory- we found out our son’s precious birth mom chose us on Thursday, Friday we were able to bring him home. Just about every Sunday we get together with my brothers, sister in laws, sister, and parents for Sunday dinner. We wanted to wait to tell my brothers and their wives in person at Sunday dinner. It was so hard to keep my mouth shut in the family group chat for those few days hahaha but I’m so glad we did!!! Oh sweet Auggie you are so loved, celebrated, and cherished!
