PEhow do you train for 65 miles, 10,000 ft of gain, and absolutely no support?
this is part 2 of preppin’ with pepper! where i’m getting ready to tackle a 60-hour solo backpacking challenge.
in this one, i’m breaking down my training strategy:
🏋️♀️ strength foundation from compound lifting
🥾 stairmaster + weighted vest for time on feet
🏃♀️ tempo + threshold runs to improve fatigue resistance
and yes, it’s as hard as it sounds. but i’m not here to play folks!!! it’s all prep for spending 3 days solo in the backcountry with 10,000 ft of vertical and no one to hand me snacks.
