Life is too short to spend it trying to fit into a box. Today for me, joy was a matching set (like adult Garanimals!) with ruffles on the bottom of my pants like a toddler. It’s playful and fun. And we should all be striving to still be playful and fun in our 40s. I made this outfit over the weekend. Here are the deets: Gingham fabric from @blackbirdfabrics Pants pattern - Modified Pomona Pants by @annaallenclothing in the wide leg view, 1 size larger than my measurements, shortened slightly, ruffles added to the bottom of the legs, pockets placed in the front instead of the back. Top Pattern - Philo Top by @julesmsmit in View C made in my size based on measurements. No changes. I’m locking down the Seasons Skort pattern as quickly as I can. The goal for this piece is versatility and comfort. Here are some of my samples so far. I’m planning 3 views (for now) and some other fun details you might spot throughout the video. Keep in mind these are samples, so they aren’t perfect (the blue gingham for example is 1/2” too short, and the navy is the first iteration of the long version so I adjusted it for the white) More on the name, what the pattern will include, testing, etc. soon!
