Today we hear from Johnny Rodriguez and his experience with ALS. In October of 2023 he was diagnosed and after a moment of prayer he got to work. For the last 6 months he has been working with Danielle doing SCENAR Therapy, using the biomodulator daily and spending time in the CVAC at Ascent. He has seen significant improvements in his physical abilities, such as being able to pick up his young children with ease. The doctors are amazed at his ‘regression’ or improvement, which he attributes to the work he’s been doing at Ascent as well as his incredible mindset! #jrodstrong #athletesvsals #als #CVAC #Biomodulator #SCENAR #ascentadaptation #ascent #orangecounty #thefrequencytherapist ****Disclaimer**** Ascent Adaptation, nor any of the products mentioned or therapists mentioned make any claims to treat, cure or prevent any disease.

3 early signs neurologists watch for in ALS ⬇️ 🧠 1. Progressive muscle weakness • One hand feels weaker (grip, opening jars) • Foot dragging or tripping → Not sudden — slowly getting worse 🧠 2. Muscle twitching + shrinking • Visible twitching (fasciculations) • Muscle looks smaller over time → Especially with weakness 🧠 3. Speech or swallowing changes • Slurred speech • Choking or difficulty swallowing It’s not about one symptom — it’s progression over time. #neurology #doctor #ALS #nerve #medicine

If caught early enough, here is proof that even conditions like ALS are possible to reverse if you understand and stop the culprit leading to neurodegeneration. 10 years ago during the ice bucket challenge, these changes were unheard of. Keep faith, figure out the cause of your body attacking itself, fix the cause, repair the myelin nerve sheath, and improve your life. We believe all patients have the ability to heal 🙏

Pseudobulbar affect is a neurological condition causing sudden uncontrollable laughter or crying. It results from brain damage or neurodegenerative diseases that disrupt emotional regulation. In Eric’s instance he is “lucky” that his pseudobulbar affect only results in uncontrollable laughter usually when something funny happens. Sometimes if he’s laughing too hard we will have to pause what we are watching for him to catch his breath. For some this condition can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing. The expressions do not always match the situation either. Some may laugh uncontrollably at something sad, or have laughter that turns to tears. . . . . . . . . #als #endals #alsawareness #pseudobulbaraffect #themoreyouknow🌈⭐️

Most people with ALS don’t realize what’s happening — and that’s the danger. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is considered a rare disease. But what’s surprisingly common is how often it goes unrecognized early. 📊 Studies show that up to 40% of ALS patients are initially misdiagnosed — often with orthopedic problems, nerve compression, or simple overuse injuries. Not because ALS is invisible. But because early symptoms are subtle. Early signs many people ignore: • weakness in one hand or foot • frequent muscle twitching • difficulty with fine motor tasks (buttons, writing, typing) • changes in speech or voice • muscle stiffness without pain Symptoms often start on one side of the body, making them easier to dismiss. What’s important to understand ALS is not a muscle disease. It’s not a spine problem you can fix surgically. It’s a motor neuron disease — the nerve cells that control movement gradually stop working. Sensation, memory, and awareness are usually preserved. Why early recognition matters There is currently no cure for ALS. But early diagnosis still makes a real difference: • earlier supportive care • better symptom management • more time for planning and informed decisions • fewer unnecessary procedures and delays 🧠 Progressive, unexplained weakness should never be ignored. If symptoms are worsening and not improving, a neurological evaluation matters. Awareness doesn’t create fear. It creates clarity.
