“Drop it from 5/2 R… and watch physics conquer the roller coaster 🎢⚡” This isn’t just a ball rolling — it’s physics in its most thrilling form 🤯. In his legendary lecture, Professor Walter Lewin shows how dropping a ball from a height of 5/2 R gives it enough energy to travel the entire roller coaster. 🚀 That’s the true beauty of physics: it’s not just numbers and equations, it’s energy, gravity, and pure adventure 🌍💡. When seen this way, physics transforms from “difficult” into a thrilling story that lives in every motion ❤️‍🔥. . . . . #WalterLewin #PhysicsMagic ✨ #RollerCoasterPhysics 🎢 #ScienceThrills 🔥 #LearnWithPhyxon 📘 #ViralLearning #PhysicsEverywhere 🌍 #MindBlowingScience #EnergyInMotion ⚡ #ScienceReels Follow @Phyxon for more epic science experiments 🚀 | Save 🔖 Share ↗️ and comment 💬 if you’d ride this physics roller coaster! 🎢

This video shows Professor Lewin's engaging explanation of torque Walter Lewin explains torque as the rotational version of force—the idea that a force applied at a distance from a pivot causes an object to rotate rather than move straight. He shows that torque doesn’t just make things spin; it changes an object’s angular momentum over time. Using famous and visually striking demonstrations, such as spinning bicycle wheels, he reveals why rotating objects behave in ways that feel counterintuitive. Instead of falling over under gravity, the wheel’s rotation causes its motion to shift direction, making it slowly turn or precess. Through these experiments, Lewin helps students see how conservation of angular momentum works in real life, turning abstract physics concepts into clear, memorable experiences. #WalterLewin #physics #torquephysics

Walter Lewin’s horizontal motion experiment demonstrates a fundamental principle of classical mechanics: "the independence of horizontal and vertical motion" (inertia). In this experiment, a ball is launched vertically upward from a machine moving horizontally at constant velocity. Despite the machine’s motion, the ball falls back into it, illustrating that horizontal velocity does not affect vertical free fall.  Unlike everyday intuition (where the machine might seem to "outrun" the ball) the experiment confirms that the ball retains the machine’s horizontal velocity due to inertia. This results in both the machine and the ball sharing identical horizontal motion, while the ball’s vertical trajectory is governed solely by gravity.  The key to this demonstration lies in "Galilean relativity" and "Newton’s First Law": The ball’s horizontal velocity remains constant (assuming no air resistance), and its vertical motion accelerates downward at (9.8 m/s²). 🤖 Machine’s frame of reference: the ball appears to move straight up ⬆️ and down ⬇️ 🧍‍♂️Stationary observer: the ball follows a parabolic path, combining uniform horizontal motion ➡️ and accelerated vertical motion ⬆️⬇️ ---  💡 Learn More:  Walter Lewin’s Physics Lectures: Classical Mechanics - MIT OpenCourseWare (https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/8-01sc-classical-mechanics-fall-2016/)  [Source]  (🎼 Crystal Castles - Kerosene)  (🎞 Walter Lewin)  (https://youtu.be/KacTRPL1MtE?si=NpHR-9LuH5s_Di7V) (✍️ Description) 1.
