✨️ Why Does Time Run Differently on Other Planets? ✨️ ✨️ Explained by Brian Cox ✨️ ✨️ Time doesn’t flow at one speed. Gravity bends space-time. Stronger gravity = slower time. Weaker gravity = faster time. ✨️ So clocks tick differently. A clock on a massive planet runs slower. A clock in orbit runs faster. A clock in deep space runs faster still. ✨️ Interstellar was accurate. One hour on Miller’s planet = seven years on Earth. Why? It orbited a supermassive black hole — extreme gravity = extreme time dilation. ✨️ We see this in real life too. • ISS astronauts age a tiny bit faster • Clocks on Earth’s surface run slower • GPS satellites must correct their time constantly If they didn’t, GPS would drift by kilometers per day. ✨️ Brian Cox’s message: There’s no single timeline in the universe. Every world — every orbit — every height has its own rhythm. ☆•☆•☆ 🌐 Credit video used: @notenoughspacetalk 🌐 CREDIT / COMPOSITION / FORMATTING / TEXT @glamour_physics CONTENT USED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY ☆•☆•☆ For more insightful content on Science and Astronomy: 🌐 FOLLOW @glamour_physics ☆▪︎☆▪︎☆ For the clips used in this upload: All rights and credits belong to respective owners. What if you could fold space like a piece of paper? Imagine the universe as a flat sheet. Two points, light-years apart, seem impossibly distant... until you bend the sheet. Suddenly, those two points touch. That’s the idea of a wormhole — a cosmic shortcut through space and time.*In theory, a wormhole could let us cross galaxies in moments, bypassing the long journey at the speed of light. But here’s the catch: wormholes are unstable. They might collapse in an instant, or require exotic matter to stay open — something we’ve never seen before. 🎯Follow @glamour_physics & @modernsciencex for more interesting posts. 👤Tag your friends Video creator: @modernsciencex & @glamour_physics 🎯Follow @modernsciencex #spaceexploration #spaxelover #meteor #meteorshower #shootingstar #perseids #perseidmeteorshower #physicsclass #wormhole #physics #physicslover #astronomy #alberteinstein #cosmos #wormholes #blackhole

I think most of you will probably recognize this animation, it’s a flip from Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey episode 10. Michael Faraday formulated Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction through careful experimentation in the early 1830s. He was exploring the relationship between electricity and magnetism, inspired by the work of Hans Christian Ørsted and André-Marie Ampère, who had shown that electric currents could create magnetic fields. Faraday discovered that moving a magnet through a coil of wire produced an electric current in the wire. Conversely, changing the current in one coil induced a current in a nearby coil. From these experiments, he concluded that a changing magnetic field creates an electric field, which is the principle behind electromagnetic induction. His observations were eventually formalized as Faraday’s Law, stating that the induced electromotive force (EMF) in a circuit is proportional to the rate of change of magnetic flux through it. This work laid the foundation for electric generators and transformers. ☆ Follow @science_for_my_servants for more science related posts ☆ #science #astronomy #physics #sciencefacts #astrophysics #sciencememes #physicsmemes #scienceiscool #quantumphysics #physicsfun #sciencelover #womeninstem #scienceforkids #scienceteacher #astronomylovers #physicslab #physicslover #sciencegeek #astronomyphotography #scientist #theoreticalphysics #physicsjokes #badsciencejokes
