VEHere’s my overview of my day at @pickathon 🙌🏼
While at the festival, I met someone who shared with me that they’ve been going to Pickathon for 18 years 🤯 but after going, I can see why.
I loved all the artists I got to see, really good vibes, and as for food, lots of great vendors including vegan and vegan friendly vendors!
Another thing I loved is that they also focus on reducing waste. Not only are you encouraged to bring your own water bottle (there’s many water stations for refill) but you’re also encouraged to bring your own dishes.
The other option is to purchase a token, which you give to a food vendor and they’ll serve your order in a reusable dish. Once you’re done, you return your dish to get a token again and you do that again and again to reduce single use waste. There’s also a water station for you to wash your dishes too.
With thousands of people who attend the festival each year, I love the initiative 🙌🏼
Though I only came for a day it definitely left me wanting to come back for next year.
