Bauchmuskeln wie ein Lattenrost dank mindestens 60 Planks die Woche - aber das ist nur der Nebeneffekt von dem, was diese Übung wirklich für mich bedeutet: Über sich hinausgehen, nicht mehr denken „Das kann ich nicht“ oder „Ich bin zu schwach.“ Früher habe ich keine Übung so gehasst, wie die Planke. Mir tat alles weh, die Arme haben gezittert und der Kopf war knallrot. Es gibt aber wenig Yoga- und Pilatesvideos, in denen diese Übung nicht auftaucht. Tatsächlich habe ich nach einem halben Jahr konsequenter Routine festgestellt, dass Planks niemals einfacher werden, ich aber stärker. Viel stärker. Mittlerweile empfinde ich Planks beinahe als entspannend, weil ich all meinen Stress, Frust, Hass, Wut und Trauer durch meinen ganzen Körper in den Boden abgeben kann. Dieses „Turn Pain into power“: Für mich funktioniert das mit Planks mit am besten.
