Uranium-238 is the silent giant of nuclear physics. When it absorbs a neutron, it begins a slow transformation — first becoming uranium-239, then through beta decays turning into neptunium-239, and finally into plutonium-239, a fissile element capable of releasing immense energy. Remove three neutrons from uranium-238, and you get uranium-235 — a rare isotope that can split when struck by a neutron, releasing energy and more neutrons in a self-sustaining chain reaction. These nuclear properties shaped human history. In 1945, the Hiroshima bomb used uranium-235, while the Nagasaki bomb used plutonium-239 produced from uranium-238 through neutron capture and beta decay. The events revealed both the destructive power of nuclear energy and the profound responsibility that comes with scientific discovery. Uranium-235 — fissile. Uranium-238 — fertile. Together, they changed the world forever. #physics #physicsmeme #physicswallah #physicslove #chemistry #nuclearphysics

Nuclear fission is a process in which the nucleus of a heavy atom, such as uranium-235 or plutonium-239, splits into two smaller nuclei after being struck by a neutron ⚛️. When this splitting occurs, it releases a large amount of energy, radiation, and additional neutrons. These newly released neutrons can collide with other nearby nuclei, causing them to split as well and creating a rapid chain reaction 🔁. If this chain reaction is carefully controlled, it can produce energy in nuclear reactors to generate electricity. However, if the reaction occurs extremely fast and uncontrollably, it can release an enormous amount of energy in a very short time. This is the basic scientific principle behind how Nuclear weapon technology works, where the rapid fission chain reaction produces a massive and destructive explosion ☢️. . . . . . The nucleus of a heavy atom like uranium-235 or plutonium-239 is split in a chain reaction (fission), releasing energy. Energy from fission triggers the fusion of hydrogen isotopes, creating an even more powerful explosion. Both types rely on precise mechanisms to compress and ignite the nuclear material, resulting in a devastating release of heat, radiation, and a shockwave. Like our content? @priyambati_007 shows nuclear bomb, nuclear fission using plutonium: ⸻ 🔬 What is Nuclear Fission with Plutonium? Plutonium-239 (Pu-239) is a man-made radioactive element used as fuel in nuclear reactors and bombs. ⸻ 💥 How It Works (in simple steps): 1. A neutron hits a Pu-239 nucleus (a large atom). 2. The plutonium nucleus splits into two smaller atoms (called fission products). 3. This split releases: • A huge amount of energy 💡 (used to generate electricity). • More neutrons (usually 2 or 3). 4. These new neutrons can hit other Pu-239 atoms, causing a chain reaction 🔁. ⸻ 🔋 Where is it used? • Nuclear power plants (in some countries) • Nuclear weapons (Plutonium is commonly used in bombs) • Fast breeder reactors (create more fuel than they consume) ⸻ ⚠️ Extra Facts: • Plutonium is more reactive than uranium, so it’s easier to start a chain reaction. • It’s toxic and must be handled very carefully. #NuclearFission#Plutonium#NuclearEnergy #AtomicPower#ScienceFacts#PhysicsFun #EnergyExplained#ScienceReel#LearnWithReels #STEMeducation

A nuclear bomb works by releasing an enormous amount of energy through nuclear reactions. These reactions occur in two main ways: **nuclear fission** and **nuclear fusion**. In a fission bomb (like the ones dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki), a heavy atomic nucleus, such as uranium-235 or plutonium-239, is split into smaller nuclei when struck by a neutron. This splitting releases a massive amount of energy and additional neutrons, which trigger a chain reaction. The energy released in a fraction of a second causes a powerful explosion, along with intense heat, shockwaves, and radiation. Fusion bombs, or hydrogen bombs, are even more powerful. They use the energy from a fission reaction to compress and heat a mixture of isotopes like deuterium and tritium, causing them to combine, or fuse, into a heavier nucleus. This fusion process releases energy many times greater than fission. The destructive force of a nuclear bomb comes from the conversion of a small amount of mass into energy, as described by Einstein’s equation, \(E=mc^2\). The explosion results in widespread destruction, radiation exposure, and long-lasting environmental effects. #physics #science #explore #reels

Atomic bombs are made by using nuclear reactions that release huge amounts of energy. They work by forcing atoms of certain elements—uranium-235 or plutonium-239—to split (called nuclear fission). When these atoms split, they release energy and more neutrons, causing a rapid chain reaction that results in a massive explosion. The bomb is carefully designed to bring the material together instantly so the reaction happens all at once. #minecraft

#rusiawar #ukrainawar #ukraine #rusia #reels #reelsvideo❤️ #reelsfyp #news #beritaviral #berita #fyp #fypシ #postingan #indonesia #military #jakarta #viral #kiev #moscow #follow #instagram #viralvideo #israel #iran #viralvideos #israelwar #page #viralreels #fypage #ukrainerussiawar

Explain ⚠️: (please 50k likes) When the nucleus of a heavy atom, such as uranium-235 or plutonium-239, undergoes a chain reaction known as fission, it splits apart and releases a significant amount of energy. This energy can then trigger the fusion of hydrogen isotopes, leading to an even more powerful explosion. Both fission and fusion depend on carefully controlled processes to compress and ignite the nuclear materials, ultimately unleashing an immense wave of heat, radiation, and a powerful shockwave. In 1946, physicist Louis Slotin was conducting a dangerous experiment with a plutonium core. Using a screwdriver, he kept two halves of a beryllium shell apart — just millimeters from triggering a nuclear reaction. One slip was enough. The core went critical, releasing a burst of radiation. Slotin acted instantly, separating the pieces and saving everyone else in the room. He died nine days later from radiation exposure. The object became known as the “Demon Core.” #darkhistory #historyreels #sciencefacts #weirdhistory #learnsomething
