I don’t train during pregnancy to stay small. I train to stay capable. There’s so much messaging around slowing down, shrinking, doing less. And yes, we adapt, we modify and we respect what’s changing but we don’t abandon strength. The muscle I build now supports my joints, my metabolism, my blood sugar, my mental health and my recovery on the other side. STRONG has been my anchor program for years. It gives structure without chaos and progression without burnout. If you’re in your 20s, 30s, 40s, pregnant, not pregnant, cycling, not cycling - strength is still the foundation. The recipe for the muffins is on my website (closing down and converting to substack soon) and the recipe for the nitrate free bacon is further down my page! Andddd for the spelt flour chia pancakes the recipe is … 1 banana (mashed) 1 egg 1 Tbsp flour of your choice (heaped tbsp) Dash of cinnamon Chia seeds (about 1tbsp) Mix all together and fry! And no, “nipple to nose” ain’t it ⭐️ Get a basic understanding of how breastmilk is made. This will save you from accidentally sabotaging your supply early on. ⭐️Understand how to know your baby is getting enough milk — yes we can know this without seeing # ounces in bottles ⭐️Prep a handful of items that will serve you well as you enter into postpartum and breastfeeding. You don’t need to spend $$$. Having a few key things — like your correct size flange if you need to pump — is a game changer. ⭐️Identify where you’ll get 1:1 help if / when you need it. And no, ChatGPT does not count. ⭐️Surround yourself with people who want to support your breastfeeding goals, not encourage you to quit at the first whiff of difficulty ⭐️COMMIT. If you want this, do whatever is in your power to do it!! Don’t idolize it and hinge your worth as a mother on it, but breastfeeding often comes with some road bumps that requires some GRIT! Banana Oat Muffins - 2 ripe bananas, mashed - 2 eggs - ¼ cup olive oil or melted butter - ¼ cup maple syrup or honey - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1½ cups rolled oats - 1 tsp baking powder - ½ tsp baking soda - ½ tsp cinnamon - Pinch of salt - Optional: ¼ cup chocolate chips or blueberries
1️⃣ In a bowl, combine mashed bananas, eggs, oil, syrup, and vanilla.
2️⃣ Stir in oats, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, and salt. Fold in extras if using.
3️⃣ Spoon into greased or lined muffin tin. Bake at 180°C for 18–20 mins or until golden. Freeze: Cool completely, then freeze in airtight bag or container. Reheat: Microwave from frozen for 30–45 seconds or thaw overnight. Servings: Makes 10–12 muffins. Freezer Friendly Chia Pudding - ½ cup chia seeds - 2 cups milk of choice - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1–2 tbsp maple syrup - Toppings: mixed berries, cacao powder, nut butter, coconut, etc.
1️⃣ Add chia seeds, milk, vanilla, and maple syrup to a jar or container. Stir well to combine.
2️⃣ Let sit for 15 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumps.
3️⃣ Pour into 4 1 cup silicone moulds and add your toppings! Freezer: Freeze in small jars or silicone cups. Thaw overnight in the fridge before eating. Stir well before serving. Servings: Makes 4 portions. SMOOTHIE BAGS 🥤 Berry Coconut Glow: 1 banana, ½ cup mixed berries, ½ cup baby spinach, 1 tbsp shredded coconut, Optional: ¼ avocado 🧊 Add before blending: 1 cup any milk Mango Ginger Immunity: ½ cup frozen mango chunks, 1 small banana, 1 thumb-sized piece fresh ginger (peeled), 1 tbsp chia seeds, Handful of spinach or kale 🧊 Add before blending: 1 cup water or orange juice

We hit up @metroontario, grabbed all the goods, and had the most wholesome postpartum meal-prep party at Kayla’s after a morning of worship at church 🥹♥️ Breakfast sandwiches? Check. Tomato soup? Check. Lasagna that’s gonna hold me down for a solid two weeks? Big check. ✔️✔️✔️ I honestly don’t have enough words for how supported I feel right now. Entering motherhood with a village like this?
