THHow to store and re-heat meal prep.
Some people say things last 4 days in the fridge but I find whilst some things may just last four days there are no guarantees. And I hate mouldy food.
I can honestly say that three days is the optimum time for all food. ( with the exception of fruit jars ) these last longer 5 days if stored in glass.
If you’re freezing foods. Take them out the night before and defrost in the fridge ready to be reheated the next day.
I do like to re-heat some meals in the oven. If you have one available certain meals will re-heat much much better in the oven. Such as lasagne, pasta dishes and stews.
Some things do freeze better than others. So we tend to eat the things we don’t think will freeze so well first in the week. You get pretty good at this after a while.
Don’t be afraid to experiment or get things wrong. That’s how we all learn. Just don’t go putting plastic containers in the oven as this won’t work 🤣🤣🤣.
My meal prep container range is very very close to release. And I will be updating my social media very soon with details of a delivery date and cost. So keep your eyes peeled 👀.
