The bad news first: Priority Pass through the Venture X card no longer covers non-lounge options at airports (this is a huge blow to our family–there are three non-lounge PP options at PDX, our home airport) The good news: we are keeping this card! Here are ten reasons we still recommended the Venture X for Disney fans (and general travelers, too!). ⭐️You can still access thousands of airport lounges using your Priority Pass, including Capital One lounges and Plaza Premium lounges. ⭐️The $395 annual fee is completely offset by the $300 travel credit good for the Capital One travel portal, and the 10,000 annual points bonus. ⭐️Disney Resorts are typically bookable in the Capital One Travel Portal, including Disneyland Paris (and you’ll earn 10x miles booking on your Venture X!). ⭐️Every 4 years you’re eligible for a Global Entry/TSA pre-check $100 credit, which will help you skip security lines at MCO & LAX. ⭐️Complimentary Hertz President’s Circle allows you to skip the line when you rent a car at most U.S. airports. ⭐️Purchase your Disney tickets through a third party like @getawaytoday or @undercovertourist to make them eligible for purchase eraser with miles. ⭐️When staying on Disney property, charge park purchases to your room using your MagicBand, and erase with miles. ⭐️Earn up to 100,000 in a calendar year referring your friends and family (25K per new Capital One customer). ⭐️Book a Disney cruise and erase with miles. ⭐️Earn 10x points booking a Turo on your trip. In summary: even though our Priority Pass has been greatly devalued because of our home airport situation, the Venture X will stay in my wallet.
