An off-the beaten island you need to add to your list when in Italy! Welcome to Procida (pronounced as pro-chee-dah), one of Italys most colourful island. Here’s my recommendation on why you should visit Procida either on a day trip or an overnight stay: 1. Procida is a smallest and beautiful inhabited Italian island in the Bay of Naples that’s been named Italy’s City of Culture for 2022. It’s one of three islands in the Bay of Naples, the others being Capri and Ischia. 2. Procida is the least-visited of the three islands in the Bay of Naples with very little crowds, and a laid-back local feel it’s the ideal place to really feel the authenticity of Italy at its best! 3. View over Marina di Corricella - if you are visiting Procida then this has to be a MUST! It’s worth making the trip to Procida just to see this. 4. The entire island has an area of only 1.6 square miles, and it’s easy to see the major sites on foot. 5. It’s one of the most beautiful, colourful and laid back islands I’ve visited in Italy. 6. Beautiful restaurants and shops that still cater to the residents’ needs rather than being targeted at tourists. 7. It’s only a 30 minute ferry ride away from Naples which makes it a perfect day trip or if you prefer an overnight stay. 8. This quaint island is quickly becoming more and more popular with tourists. So better get there quick! Just off the coast of Naples and only 1.5 square miles big, this couldn’t be a better day trip from Naples. We were able to walk from town to town, beach to beach and have a delicious Easter lunch all in one day. On y est allés en bateau et on y a passé la journée… et franchement, ça valait le détour ✨ 🛥️ Arrivée vers 10h30 On commence par le côté Est, avec un belvédère offrant une vue incroyable sur les maisons colorées 😍 🍝 Déjeuner sur le port au Ristorante Gorgonia : les pâtes citron-crevettes étaient délicieuses (le reste bof). 🌿 Puis direction le côté Ouest jusqu’au Ponte di Vivara. On a pas mal marché, mais l’île est tellement mignonne que c’était super agréable ! 🌅 Départ du bateau à 16h05, avec le coucher de soleil dun côté et la vue sur le Vésuve de l’autre côté … incroyable 🤩 💰 36 € l’aller-retour / personne ⏱️ Environ 1h depuis Naples Qui a déjà visité cette île italienne ici ? 👋 #procidaisland #procida #beautifulitaly #visititaly #travelitalia

It’s perfect day trip from Naples and it takes only around 30 minutes - 1 hour. ⛵️ How to go • Hight speed hydrofoil: Depart point is at Molo Beverello. 30-40 minutes • Regular ferry: Depart point is at Calata Porta di Massa.
