🌞03 jun 2024🌝 hey there, happy monday all! hope you had a good start to a new week and a new month🌻 here’s my weekly recap - how many hours i study for last week! obviously, i don’t and can’t study 24/7👀 this week was well balanced, productive week and thesis-free weekend, tho i still felt guilty about my unfinished chapter🤧 i got so many question about how long i study for a day or a week. i couldn’t reply back to those cause it’s really depending on my schedule and productivity. also, consistency is a key for phd journey, but i’m the opposite to it LOL✍🏻 well, it doesn’t matter “how long” i study • work a week to be honest. it’s all about the quality of the work i’ve done! but i know i need to dedicate to my thesis more this month! send you lots of hugs on your journey🫶🏼 🏷️ #phdjourney #phdjournal #phdstudent #studentlifestyle #studentlife #studywithme #studyvibes #studyinspo #studymotivation #homeoffice #workfromhome #minivlog #motivation #inspiration #weeklyrecap #productivity @phdjourney

How to study 12 hours daily as a lazy student 12 hrs study is not easy but I’m giving you a routine that will change your life. 8:00am : wake up 8:00 to 9:00 : shower + exercise + breakfast 9:00 to 12:00 : study 1 12:00 to 2:00 : lunch and nap 2:00 to 6:00 : study 2 6:00 to 8:00 : scroll, friends, evening walk, dinner 8:00 to 11:00 : study 3 11:00 to 11:30 : break 11:30 to 1:30 : study 4 1:45 : sleep This routine is best for lazy students because there is 2 hrs of break in every study session. Tips: 1. When you start your study session, make sure you completely avoid cozy areas and your mobile phones. 2. Natural light is very important, so try to study in natural light. 3. When you take 2 hrs of break, you can sleep for some time to relax your mind. 4. You can also take a break for 2 to 5 minutes in between study sessions. 5. To make these long study hours easier, I use Oreate AI to turn my lectures into podcasts and flashcards, summarize notes instantly, and generate study outlines — so I spend more time focusing and less time organizing. 6. Constantly think about your goals.

The “1-Day 90% Club” uses Active Output. Here is exactly how to do it: 1️⃣ The “Triage” Phase (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM): Stop trying to learn everything. Open your syllabus and look at the learning objectives. If it’s not a core concept, skip it for now. Focus on the 20% of material that covers 80% of the exam. 2️⃣ The “Blurt” Method (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM): Read a topic for 15 minutes, close the book, and write down everything you remember in red pen. Open the book, see what you missed, and write that in blue pen. Your brain prioritizes the “blue” info because you’ve identified it as a gap. 3️⃣ The “Feynman” Polish (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM): Explain the hardest concept to a wall or a friend. If you trip over your words, you don’t understand it yet. Simplify it until a 10-year-old would get it. 4️⃣ The “Pre-Sleep” Recall (8:00 PM - 10:00 PM): Do high-yield practice questions. No notes allowed. This forces your brain to build the neural pathways needed for the real thing. My 3 non-negotiables ⬇️ I post a lot about studying, my business, and other productivity things, and so many people have asked how I’m able to get so much done. How do I stay focused? How do you achieve so much? How do you never get distracted? The truth is… I’m no different to you. I used to procrastinate, get distracted, stress out over work. This is completely normal and you aren’t alone in facing these things. However, over the years, I’ve discovered a handful of ways to keep myself on task, and have a clear system to use every day, centred around 3 non-negotiables: 1️⃣ Exercise every single morning Usually I go to the gym, sometimes I run… either way I try to get my heart rate up in some way as this wakes me up and gives me so much energy for the day. 2️⃣ No social media before 12pm This is a big one that I’ve only started recently. I know just how much of an impact scrolling has on my energy and focus, so I save it until I’ve gotten my highest priority work done for the day. 3️⃣ Get ready every day Get dressed. Brush my teeth. Do skincare. If I don’t do these things, my mind assumes today is a rest day and I know I won’t get anything meaningful done. We all have different rituals that help us, and this is simply what works best for me 💌 #student #podcast #study #entrepreneurship #womeninbusiness #entrepreneur #medicine

Stop scrolling!! Read caption 👇🏼 This technique might be simple, but its impact is massive. Imagine yourself counting down from 3, a brief escape from the mental tussle within. Then, as you hit 1, you seamlessly transition to the next task. By bypassing the overthinking phase, you hurdle over that initial resistance. Mornings are my arena for this strategy. When my alarm chimes, I choose to conquer it. A quick countdown and I’m on my feet. It’s more than a habit; it’s a subconscious game-changer. Finish your day Feynman Technique: Is a learning strategy that involves explaining a concept in simple language as if you were teaching it to someone else, highlighting any knowledge gaps or areas of confusion in the process and allowing for better understanding. Active Recall: A study technique that involves actively retrieving information from memory rather than simply reviewing or re-reading it, which enhances long-term retention and improves learning. Example: Flashcards Blurting: A technique for quickly writing down everything you know about a topic without stopping, then checking what information you missed. This is a from of active recall. #studygram #procrastination #study #studymotivation #studytips

Let’s be honest, romantic desks, pastel highlighters, and 5AM miracle routines aren’t fixing your grades. Here’s what actually works (and nobody posts because it’s not aesthetic): 1️⃣ Study in ugly places Your brain forms stronger memory cues when it’s not fully relaxed. When you study on your bed or in a cozy setup, your brain associates the space with rest → not recall. A slightly uncomfortable chair, library desk, or quiet corner keeps your brain alert, which improves focus and retention. Aesthetic ≠ effective. 2️⃣ Start with the hardest topic first Most students waste peak brain energy on easy chapters “to build confidence.” That’s a trap. Your focus is highest at the beginning of a study session, use it for the topic you avoid the most. By the time your energy dips, even small wins feel doable. Hard-first = faster syllabus completion. 3️⃣ Write bad notes on purpose Rewriting textbooks neatly is passive studying. Messy notes mean your brain is processing, not copying. When you struggle to frame points in your own words, your brain builds neural connections. If your notes look ugly but make sense to you, they’re gold. 4️⃣ Teach a wall (or yourself) out loud Silent reading gives false confidence. Explaining out loud forces your brain to retrieve information without help. If you freeze or overcomplicate, that’s the exact gap you need to fix. Teaching exposes weak spots faster than rereading ever will. 5️⃣ Stop studying when you’re still focused This sounds wrong but it’s powerful. Stopping only when you’re exhausted trains your brain to associate studying with burnout. Stopping while focused creates anticipation, so the next session feels easier to start. You’re training consistency, not suffering. Studying isn’t supposed to feel cute. It’s supposed to feel effective. Save this. Because discipline beats aesthetics every single time.
