We were in full headpiece mode last night 👑✨ Bought VT-328 contact adhesive. Read “EVA foam” and “cosplay” and thought… yep. She’ll stick to anything. Queen behaviour 💅🏼 First couple of pieces? Fine. Set them aside feeling ✨skilled✨ Then came the thorn crown. SIX pieces. 🌿 I’m sitting there for AN HOUR holding this thing together while watching movies like some kind of medieval glue goblin 🧌📺 “Why is this not sticking?!” 😤 Adds more glue. It comes apart. Adds MORE glue. Now it’s undoing the bits that *were* kinda working 🙃 Cue quiet rage. 10pm. Eyes blurry. Covered in adhesive. I finally Google it 🔎 Not compatible with plastic. OF COURSE IT’S NOT. 🤦🏼‍♀️ So today’s adventure involved a trip to Bunnings 🛠️ and a fresh tube of Loctite 💪 Now I get to peel off all the old glue, sand everything back, and try again because apparently not all glues are created equal 🫠 Yes, it’s a failure. But it’s also a lesson. We’re learning. We’re adding new skills. And not everything goes to plan the first time 😂 Anyway. Round two today.
