You’ve seen them on the side of the road…
Up and down. Up and down. 👀
That’s a pumpjack — and it plays a big role in how oil gets from deep underground to the surface.
Here’s the simple version:
When there’s pressure in the ground, oil can flow on its own.
But when that pressure drops, we need help lifting it up.
That’s where the pumpjack comes in.
The pumpjack uses a pumping motion to lift oil from the well and send it to the surface, so production can keep going even when the well gets older.
No pumpjack = no steady flow = no production.
