PUPunch’s New Update — He’s Not Alone Anymore
Remember, little punch from Ichikawa Zoo in Chiba?
Punch is so fond of his dad's efforts, even though 😆
he keeps losing. 🤣🤣
The baby Japanese macaque who was abandoned at birth and raised by keepers with a plush toy for comfort.
There’s good news.🧡
At first, Punch spent his days alone. He played alone, slept alone, and held tightly onto his stuffed orangutan for comfort.
But slowly, something beautiful began to change.
🌿The zoo staff carefully introduced him to other young monkeys.
Now, Punch is:
▪︎Playing with other young macaques
▪︎Exploring with growing confidence
▪︎Spending less time alone
▪︎Learning natural social behaviours
Even more heartwarming, an adult female monkey has begun showing gentle, protective behaviour toward him. It may take time, but he is starting to feel safe within the group.
For a baby who once had no mother, this is a meaningful step forward.
🧸He still keeps his toy close — but now, it’s no longer his only source of comfort.
From loneliness to belonging. From fear to safety.
Punch is growing — not just physically, but emotionally, too.🧡

話題になっている小さなお猿さん🐒
SNSでは「ぬいぐるみに依存している、ひとりぼっちの可哀想な赤ちゃん」みたいに見えるけど、実際は全然違った。
ぬいぐるみを置いてブランコで元気に遊んだり、長老のお猿さんに優しくされていたり。ちゃんと仲間の中で過ごしていて、安心した。
ネットに流れてくるのは、ほんの一部を切り取ったイメージだけ。
でも現実は、もっと広くてあたたかい世界がちゃんとある。
それを自分の目で確かめられた、いい機会でした。
