⚛️ In a benchmark experiment, researchers working with a quantum processor developed by Google demonstrated a task that would take classical supercomputers an astronomically long time to replicate under similar assumptions. Some interpretations of quantum mechanics — including multiverse frameworks — suggest such computations may be described mathematically as interference across many possible states. However, this remains a theoretical interpretation rather than direct proof of parallel universes. Institutions such as NASA and research environments like CERN continue exploring the foundations of quantum theory. “Visuals and audio generated by AI.” #QuantumComputing #Multiverse #Physics #STEM #QuantumMechanics 🚀

The transition to quantum isn’t just about speed: it is a shift in the fundamental laws of information processing, based on the following two principles... 🔹 Superposition: Massive Parallelism unlike classical bits (0 or 1), a qubit exists in a “blur” of both states. This allows a system to process vast configurations simultaneously rather than sequentially. 🔹 Entanglement: Extreme Connectivity Particles can become deeply linked across any distance. This allows for harvesting and processing information with an efficiency that classical methods cannot replicate. The Reality Check: Fragility: Superposition is highly unstable. To wield this power, systems require near-perfect isolation from the outside world to prevent “collapse.” Physical Limits: Entanglement requires energy to generate, and despite the connection, information still cannot travel faster than the speed of light. Which superpower will drive the most industrial value by 2030? A) Superposition (Parallel Processing) B) Entanglement (Data Efficiency) #quantum #physics #science #tech

In the double-slit experiment, a particle passes through both paths at once when unobserved, creating an interference pattern. The moment we measure which path it took, that pattern vanishes and the particle behaves as if it chose only one slit. Even stranger, in delayed-choice versions of the experiment, measuring after the particle has already “passed through” still removes the interference, as if the particle’s earlier behavior was never split at all. Quantum mechanics does not just challenge what happens next. It challenges what already happened. Are quantum computers finally becoming useful? Quantum computers have long promised to do things ordinary machines cannot. Inspired by Richard Feynman’s idea of simulating nature using quantum physics itself, researchers have spent decades building ever larger machines, with limited practical results. That may now be starting to change. Recent experiments show quantum computers modelling magnetic materials, superconductivity and exotic states of matter that push classical computers to their limits. These machines are not useful yet, but they offer the clearest signs so far that quantum computing could finally live up to the hype. The challenge now is scale, building powerful and reliable systems without the massive energy costs they may demand. Tap the link in bio to learn how to finally get a grasp on quantum computing #quantumcomputing #quantummechanics

Quantum entanglement isn’t instant. Scientists have now measured its birth at 232 attoseconds — that’s a quintillionth of a second! This shows how particles can become linked almost instantly across space, revealing the mind-bending speed of the quantum world. Such studies help us understand quantum computing, teleportation, and the fundamental nature of reality. #QuantumPhysics #Entanglement #QuantumWorld #ScienceFacts #mindblown

Some problems would take longer than the age of the universe for normal computers to solve. Quantum computers can solve them in seconds. So where does all that computation happen? Physicist David Deutsch — pioneer of quantum computing and one of the founders of the field — argues that the best and most coherent explanation is the Many-Worlds interpretation: the computation unfolds across multiple parallel branches of reality. This doesn’t prove a multiverse. But if the multiverse is real, quantum computers are exactly what you’d expect. Why do quantum processors have to run colder than outer space? Like… literally colder than deep space. Quantum computers don’t use normal bits … they use qubits, super fragile quantum states that can be 0 and 1 at the same time. The problem? Everything destroys them. Heat. Vibration. Stray photons. Electrical noise. Even the room you’re standing in. So how do you keep something that fragile stable long enough to compute anything? 👉 You cool the whole chip to around 10–15 millikelvin. That’s colder than space. Colder than anywhere naturally found in the universe!! #tech #techexplained #stem
