From Sorrel BBQ Rum Ribs to Salmon Rasta Pasta they have it allllllll! 🔥 Overall this restaurant gets. SR Rating: A! Some dishes were more of my fav than the next but the food, service, drinks and atmosphere is very very solid at Coco’s. This is my second time going and I have to say the Rasta Pasta will always win but the Sorrel BBQ Rum Ribs were fire, the catfish was so crispy, the Mac was soo cheesy and the Don Julio Cheesecake cake was 10/10! Stopped by Flushing’s newest steakhouse, @bluembernyc and it was such a nice surprise. 🥩✨ The space has a modern, stylish feel with a big dining room and a sushi bar where you can see the chefs in action. We started with Crispy Rice topped with spicy tuna — crunchy, smooth, and full of flavor. The Twin Flame Roll had just the right mix of spice and creaminess, and the Korean Lettuce Wraps were a favorite — wagyu beef bacon with gochujang, shiso, jalapeños, and Asian pear all wrapped together made every bite so balanced. For mains, we tried the Prime Ribeye, super juicy and tender, cooked perfectly. But the standout was the Seabass Tom Kha — incredibly buttery and paired with a coconut-tomato broth that added richness to the dish. The baby asparagus with hollandaise were a great addition. Drinks were strong and well-made. I especially liked their version of the Honey Deuce — it was light and refreshing. We finished with chocolate cake and ice cream — simple and classic, but the perfect ending. Overall, Blu Ember is a great addition to Flushing and definitely worth checking out. 📍 @bluembernyc 137-49 Northern Blvd, Flushing Queens
