When Cillian Murphy was asked what he’d tell his 21-year-old self, his answer was simple but profound:
“Instinct over intellect.” 🧠 Sometimes your mind will overthink what your heart already knows.
You’ll try to rationalize your way out of opportunities, relationships, or risks that could change your life.
But your instincts are the compass of your soul, they guide you where logic can’t. Trust that feeling deep inside. It’s not random. It’s direction. Follow 👉 @millionaire_mentor for more!

A beautiful life is not stumbled upon, it is built. It is chosen. It is nurtured over the years. A beautiful life is made from the heart, not the head. It is not one we can rationalize our way into, it’s one that must be felt. A beautiful life is not one that is immediately comfortable, but one grown through the acknowledgement of what is worth being uncomfortable for. It is not one that is easy, it is one that is worth it. A beautiful life is composed of the things our 90-year-old selves would have wished we’d done with the years in which we were so young but didn’t realize, before the decades piled up and passed us by and we came to find how little time even the luckiest among us have. It is made of all the little whispered prayers they’d have for us as they looked back, the same way we imagine our younger selves now and wish we could impart and instill so much guidance, so often leaning in the direction of — go where your heart already calls you, move toward the truth you already know. A beautiful life is made with someone who not only makes you fall in love with them, but makes you fall in love with the person you become because of them. The kind of human being they push and inspire you to be. The kind of person who loves you as you are while still holding space for your growth. The kind who would carry you down the steps if you could not walk anymore, who would hold your hand until the last minute of the last hour, with whom you could have nothing, but it would still feel like everything. Happiness is not how your life appears, it is the quality of your connection to it. How deeply and intimately those bonds run. How much you truly cared about what you were doing and the people around you and the memories you made and how bravely you put your heart into your days, rather than hiding yourself away and wondering if you could make things appear full on the surface, while it all sits empty just beneath.

Most office red flags don’t feel serious at first. They feel easy to rationalize. You tell yourself it’s normal. That this is just how corporate works. That it’ll make sense later. But these are the patterns smart women ignore for too long: • Your scope keeps shifting, but expectations are never put in writing • You’re relied on in moments of pressure, but absent from long-term planning • Feedback is always vague — nothing you can act on or challenge • Your success is framed as “team effort,” while mistakes are individualized • You’re asked to train or onboard people who later outrank you • Decisions affecting your role happen without your input — after the fact • You’re encouraged to stay flexible while others are given certainty Most office red flags aren’t obvious. They show up as ambiguity you’re expected to tolerate.

Trust your guts. Cillian Murphy was asked what he would tell his 21 year old self. His answer was simple. Trust your instincts. Instinct over intellect. Just because you can rationalize something does not mean it is right. That cuts deep. You are smart enough to explain almost anything to yourself. You can justify the wrong relationship. The wrong deal. The wrong decision. You build a logical story around it. On paper it makes sense. In your body it feels off. And you override the feeling. Instinct is not noise. It is pattern recognition built from experience. It is your system picking up on signals before your conscious mind catches up. When you silence it, you trade clarity for comfort. Most people worship intellect. They want proof. Data. External validation. The disciplined few respect instinct. They understand that not everything true can be fully explained in the moment. You already know when something is wrong. You feel it before you think it. So answer honestly. Are you living by what you can explain… or by what you know deep down is right? Speaker: Cillian Murphy

1️⃣When OCD demands an analysis, I do nothing. I leave OCD’s questions un-resolved and refuse to negotiate or rationalize with it. You can’t out-rationalize OCD because it does not care about logic! It’s an emotional disorder, not a rational one. It is so, so important to actively refuse to answer OCD’s questions. Use non-engagement responses like “Hi, OCD! I’m not answering that question.” or “that would suck”. 2️⃣I respond to my thoughts with without judgement (even the dark ones) This strategy helps with the notorious “bUt WhAT dOeS It mEAn?!” OCD trap. Thoughts are neutral. Only behaviors make a real difference. When we assign meaning to our intrusive thoughts, they get LOUDER and more upsetting. Hard pass. 3️⃣ I often say “Is that all you’ve got? More please!” In response to my intrusive thoughts This also signals an empowering message to your brain. Tell OCD: “Bring it on biotch” and show your amygdala that you CAN handle whatever intrusive thoughts come my way. 4️⃣ When I feel anxious, I say “I want this.” This sends my brain a powerful “I can handle this” message…which, in turn, empowers me to tolerate distress. The goal is not to treat the anxiety, but instead treat the sensitivity to it! Follow @ocdrebeltherapist for OCD/anxiety content that cuts the BS 💫 ✨Quick side note: Do you struggle with mental compulsions? I might be able to help. Comment “mastermind” and I’ll send you the tea. #ocdawareness #ocd #mentalhealth

Lewis Bollard explains Richard Dawkins' counterintuitive theory: intelligence might actually protect us from the worst of suffering. "Less intelligent animals might feel pain and fear more acutely than more intelligent animals. And that's because they can't rationalize it. They can't tell a story around it... It is just unmitigated pain. And they don't know when it's going to end."

Did you ever wonder why you may not have compassion when bad things happen to others? The Just World Theory may explain this.🤔 Our brains try to rationalize and control situations for example if you are a good person and live the right way good will happen to you. But this is not the case. We cannot control all situations and bad things happen to good people ALL THE TIME 😞 The LA Fires will impact many people for years to come. Altadena was impacted during the Eaton fires 🔥 Many celebrities were also impacted in the Palisades. Let’s practice compassion and empathy and challenge the Just World Theory. 🫂 Look at my stories this week for ways to support the Black Communities impacted by the fires. They will likely have more challenges securing funding, rebuilding and keeping their homes and neighborhoods ❤️‍🩹🙏🏽 Thank you @makebigtalk for this video.

When Peace Speaks Louder. What Anas Bukhash is pointing to is a quiet truth we often overlook: the body never lies. You can rationalize behavior and convince your mind to stay, but your nervous system keeps the score. With the right person, your inner world feels calm, grounded, and unforced. No tension, no performance—just presence. When peace keeps disappearing and anxiety becomes routine, that’s your deeper self signaling the cost. A healthy relationship never demands your serenity as payment—it protects it. Speaker: @anasbukhash #anasbukhash #mindset #men #mindsetiseverything #motivation
